Where to stay besides Old Town? Gran Via or Rusafa! A bit more edgy and closer to the beach? El Cabanyal! Remember that the city is small, so everything in a circle around Old town will be fine!

Getting around

Valencia is actually very walkable! But for the longer distances, there is a very easy and cheap public transport system. Buy the SUMA card, check route and time table on Google, and goooo. Or, as a Dutchie I have to recommend: jump on your bicycle. ...

In my experience, the buses are on time and practical. It's very cheap (but the SUMA card) and gets you easily from city to beach and around.

The SUMA card is easy to buy, the machines in the metro stations have them and there's always someone to help! You pre-pay 10 tickets for less than 10 euro (incl the card itself)

You'll see these bikes everywhere: Valenbisi are bikes you can rent through an app with very low fares. Cycle in the park or to the beach!

Valencia is an easy city, and you can arrange many things once there. But to make your life easy, not miss anything, or get some serious discounts, here is a list with things you may want to book before.

If you know you will take the public transport, visit a couple of museums and some attractions, you can get yourself the Tourist Card. Check conditions, attractions come at a discount, but it's a great deal!
