First Foods
We’re starting solids with porridge/cereals made with breast milk — gentle, familiar, and easy to track. Days 1–2: oatmeal (thin + smooth). Days 3–4: another cereal. After that, we’ll add single-ingredient foods one at a time and slowly build variety...
This was the first food we started solids with — baby’s very first meal. It’s simple, quick to make, and easy to adjust the texture. Also, baby porridge options like this feel surprisingly limited in the U.S., so I was happy to find it.
It’s really good. Even though it’s not specifically a baby cereal and it doesn’t have added iron, the texture is amazing — super smooth and creamy. And honestly, in the U.S. there aren’t many buckwheat options, so I’m happy I found this one.

Food Prep & Storage
Everything I use to prep and store baby food in the U.S. — steaming/blending tools, containers, freezer trays, and my go-to hacks for making small batches fast and keeping them fresh.
Glass bowl Béaba Babycook = fast, simple solids prep. Steam, blend, serve — great for purées and soft foods, especially when you’re doing this with baby #2 and need convenience.

Bibs & Mats
Bibs + splat mats that make starting solids way less messy. Easy-to-clean picks (wipeable, dishwasher-friendly when applicable) that save outfits, floors, and my sanity.
Second-baby repurchase: Olababy silicone bib. Food-grade silicone (BPA-free), deep pocket that catches everything, and it’s dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup.

Plates & Bowls & Cups
No plastic over here. This section is only premium, truly food-grade silicone (the kind I actually trust) and stainless steel — plates, spoons, and forks that are safe, durable, and made for everyday use.
Olababy spoon is a true repurchase for me — I used it with my first and bought it again for baby #2 in the U.S. Super gentle on gums and perfect for first purees and early self-feeding practice.
Olababy Training Spoon | Promote Baby Led Weaning & independent Feeding
This Olababy set (plate + two spoons) is one of the few feeding items I repurchased. I used it when my first daughter Vera started solids and grabbed it again for my second baby. The silicone feels noticeably high-quality — real food-grade silicone t...
Olababy 3-Piece Baby Led Weaning Set
These are honestly the only stainless steel baby spoons I’ve seen in the U.S. that are actually made for babies — really small and lightweight. The size is perfect for tiny mouths, and the handle is easy for little hands to hold. So comfortable and p...
I’m really picky about baby dishes, and these plates are a win. They feel very well-made, wash easily, and are the perfect size for babies/toddlers. Great for everyday meals and they don’t feel flimsy at all.
Love this deep bowl! The depth helps keep food inside (less mess), and the lid is a lifesaver for saving leftovers. We use it daily for oatmeal and purees.
Everything for our high chair “station” — the chair itself plus the add-ons that make mealtimes smoother: tray/liners, footrest upgrades, and a few high-chair-friendly toys to keep baby busy while eating.
Childhome high chair is the result of experience — with my first baby we went through three different high chairs because nothing felt quite right. This time I chose Childhome very intentionally, and it checks all my boxes: sturdy, practical for ever...
