Atlanta is a cultural melting pot and it is not short on great food! Here is a working list of some of my favorites.

Tex Mex
Elevated Tex Mex at its best. Ford Fry knew what he was doing when he created this restaurant.
Superica
Another Ford Fry creation in Atlanta, Little Rey is a casual but elevated taco stop with a great vibe and delicious menu.
Little Rey
Italian
I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a child, and most of the same people still work there. It always draws a crowd, the food has been consistently amazing for decades, and it still holds it's place as one of my favorite Italian meals in...
Pasta Vino
Some of the best pasta you will get in Atlanta. This place also has a small market where you can purchase their handmade pasta and sauce to cook at home. Great vibe and absolutely delicious food.
Storico Fresco Ristorante
American + BBQ
This is our favorite neighborhood spot. They have a very family-friendly menu, great outdoor space, and attainable pricing. It's definitely a place we frequent.
Howell's Kitchen and Bar
Blue Ridge Grill is definitely at a price point where it would be fitting for a nice occasion or date night out, but it has a tried and true menu. It's been around for decades and always has a consistent crowd.
Blue Ridge Grill
Houston's has been around for decades and just has that moody fine dining atmosphere. Their Thai Noodle Salad, French Dip Sandwich and Ribs are a few of my favorite offerings. And you have to start with their classic Spinach Dip appetizer.
Houston's
If I lived in Decatur, I would be at Leon's nonstop. They have a classic American burger and fries on their menu, but the best part is their selection of sauces. In my opinion, they also have the best Old Fashioned in Atlanta.
LEON's Full Service
My mouth is watering just looking at these photos. Fox Bros has one of the best BBQ meals in Atlanta. From the sauce to the burnt ends, they are worth the visit.
Fox Bros Bar-B-Q
This is not like any standard American BBQ, this is Korean fusion that is absolutely delicious. They have a spicy kimchi slaw that will blow your socks off.
Heirloom Market BBQ
Pizza
Woodfire pizza at its best in Atlanta. If you go to the one in West Midtown, you are basically dining family-style in their kitchen. Bring your own wine, if you'd like, and split some pies. Delicious.
Antico Pizza
Such good pizza, but the best part is their house salad. Or let's be honest, the salad dressing. It's a creamy italian dressing and dipping your pizza crust in it is a requirement.
Fellini's Pizza
Coffee
I love BRASH coffee - their vanilla lattes are insane. If you like bougie coffee that rotates great specials, they are for you.
BRASH Coffee Roasters
The Daily is a great little Atlanta chain that serves coffee but also has a delicious menu of breakfast/brunch food. Their breakfast burrito is to die for.
The Daily
If you are visiting Atlanta and end up at Ponce City Market, Spiller Park is a must-have. They have multiple spots around the city, and they know their stuff. If you like your coffee in the form of dessert, they event make their own chocolate syrup i...
Spiller Park
Southern
This place is a classic meat and three. We actually had our rehearsal dinner here before our wedding, and it was perfect. If you want the feeling of a cozy home-cooked meal, this is it.
Mary Mac's Tea Room
South City Kitchen has multiple locations around Atlanta and is a great spot for a southern meal during a nice night out. They have great cocktails, an extensive bourbon list and flavorful and cozy southern cuisine.
