Whether you use it to learn more about what's going on or as a way to keep an eye on the baddies, each of these is worth a listen.
My own podcast with my husband, Josh. It's new, it's unpolished, and it's long-winded. But it's also, fun, smart, and unique.
We discuss whatever is top of mind for any given week, often landing in rabbit holes.
Topics regularly featured include: AI, technology, politics, cats, what we're watching, and slice of life.
We Weren't Talking to You
This podcast gives you the perspective of the left of center (maybe sometimes overly left). Here you'll find commentary from Kara Swisher (a well respected journalist, specializing in technology) and Scott Galloway (an NYU professor).
The best part about this show is the banter between the two hosts. You. may be thrown off by the crudeness of Scott's jokes, but they're worth ignoring to hear his smart and calculated takes on everything from politics, branding, and the market.
Kara has a rare insight into the technocrat elite and enough history with them to see them for who they actually are.
Pivot with Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway
This podcast is part tech bro, part right-wing, part poker bro. If you want to stay up-to-date with what the conservative thinking is in America, this show is for you.
Admittedly, this show is often hard to watch, especially as millionaires and billionaires ask ridiculous questions like “what is Temu" or discuss the quality of Brioni button downs.
Even if you don't like what they're saying, they give great insight into the zeitgeist of the right-wing elitists.
All-In Podcast
Yes this podcast also features Scott Galloway, but that's not why I'm recommending it.
Scott employees a team of very bright individuals that analyze various parts of the market and economy. You'll appreciate the high quality charts, visuals, and commentary. And as always, Scott adds his own special charm whenever he's on.
The Prof G Pod – Scott Galloway
This podcast covers modern philosophy, technology, and politics. Think of it as a modern day thinker's podcast.
That said, I find Lex Friedman often a bit stiff and monotone, so pick and choose discussions based on guests.
This is also a longstanding podcast where it's great to go back into the archives “before they were famous” or mainstream.

When the largest and most prominent (from an investment and utilization perspective) AI company begins a podcast, you have to watch.
This podcast just started (June 2025), so add it to your list and never be 500 episodes behind.
Expect some thought leadership and insider discussion around the company. Also expect some soft marketing pitches and intentionally curated speeches designed to seduce you.
Stay for your own observations and analysis of the people at the heart of the company.

When the executive leader of the state of California (and the 4th largest entity globally by GDP, larger than Japan) has a podcast, it makes sense to listen.
Gavin started this podcast post 2024 elections as a way to begin discussions with those deemed unpopular by the left. And it's likely a path he's taking for running for the president of the US later on.
That said, I think you'll enjoy Gavin's on-screen presence. He's not the best political debater and often puts his foot in his own mouth, making him seem both authentic and relatable.
This is Gavin Newsom
In 2020, Andrew Yang ran for the democratic nomination for the president of the United States. Since that's all history, you'll know he didn't make it all the way to the end.
But, along the way, he cultivated what he calls the Forward Party and socialized the idea of universal basic income (UBI).
Andrew isn't the most polished (and neither is his podcast), but that makes it pretty relatable.
He's the most realistic version of someone who is close to the inner circle, but definitely not on the inside.

Sam considers himself a modern secular thinker. He has an entire platform built up (and to be honest a little too polished) focusing on “waking up” and seeing now for what it really is.
Stay for the high production quality, interesting guests, and reasonable conversations.
Avoid the trap of paying for a subscription or drinking too much of Sam's Kool-aid.
