Located on San Marcos’ square just off the Texas State Campus Blue Dahlia Bistro is a hidden gem among the ruff. Soups, salads, toasts, eggs, they have anything for anyone all scratch and in house made. Definitely worth the pit stop.

Root Cellar Cafe has 2 locations, on in New Braunfels ,and one in San Marcos. Although its items are more highly priced you definitely get what you’re paying for with large portions and a delectable selection.

A favorite place among local teens who gather here every spring break and summer to chill. The lake is easy to get to with beautiful views and tons of Texas native plants and animals to see on your way up.
Overlook Park - Canyon Lake, Texas
Kind of a sneaky smoke spot now these days the Olmos damn is usually void of people. Perfect for those trying to get away from the city and have some time to them selves for a little bit.
Olmos Dam
One of my favorite trails in the New Braunfels Texas area. This place is perfect for early morning bird watching or an evening stroll.
Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy
Another sneaky smoke spot…if you can find the caves.

Beautiful scenery, well kept, also a few trials and the 360 view of Austin. All reasons to take a quick walk here.

More of a local neighborhood park this location is quiet and out of the way. Perfect for a pitstop if you have small children or a furry friend.
