Griffith Observatory
There is a park next to the lighthouse that offers tons of space for a picnic. Not only are there beautiful views but there are walking trails perfect for a post picnic stroll.
Point Vicente Lighthouse
Located in one of my dream neighborhoods, this quiet park has plenty of space for a picnic. If you go during the right season, they also have a nice rose garden.
Lacy Park
Otherwise known as the “500 days of summer” park, this park is huge and has various areas perfect for a picnic offering direct views of DTLA
Vista Hermosa Natural Park, Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority
There is an entry fee to the park, but you can definitely spend an entire afternoon here. If you are up to it, you can even hike up to see a redwood tree grove! The hike itself is about a 3 mile loop.
Carbon Canyon Regional Park
A very peaceful park with lots of nature surrounding you. Also a great place to explore.
