These are some of the hotels I stayed at in Korea that felt comfortable, convenient, and budget-friendly. I’m sharing the ones I personally had a good experience with and would recommend to other travelers.
I liked staying here because it was within walking distance of Haeundae Beach, with plenty of food options nearby, and the room felt more spacious than I expected. It’s also convenient for getting around by bus and metro.
Haeundae Dongbeck Hotel (Busan)
I stayed here on my last night in Seoul because it was very convenient for getting to the airport the next day. It’s close to Hongdae station, right in a lively area with lots of eateries, shopping, and street performances within walking distance.
Daol Guesthouse (Seoul)
This was one of the most comfortable stays on my trip, and I really liked the location. It’s near Gongdeok Station, which made it easy for me to move around Seoul.
Shilla Stay Mapo (Seoul)
This felt like a more premium stay without being overly expensive, and the ocean-view pool was a real highlight. I’d recommend it if you want something a little nicer while still staying close to Haeundae and public transport.

These are the day trips I personally experienced and would recommend if you want to see more during your Korea trip without overcomplicating the planning. I focused on options that felt memorable, enjoyable, and worth the cost.
I thought this was a meaningful day trip and a good way to learn more about Korea’s history beyond the city. It felt well worth doing if it’s your first time visiting Korea.
DMZ Tour (Suspension Bridge & JSA Museum)
I’d recommend this if you want to experience local food in a more immersive way instead of figuring everything out yourself. It’s a fun way to try different dishes and see more of the market culture.
Seoul Street Food Market Tour
I like joining cooking classes when I travel, so this was a really memorable experience for me. The setting was beautiful, and it felt like a nice way to do something a little different in Seoul.

I really enjoyed this because it covers some of Busan’s best-known spots in one day. The Sky Capsule was especially cute, and the coastal views were honestly one of my favorite parts.

Useful passes and travel bookings I personally used in Korea that helped make transportation, planning, or sightseeing more efficient and affordable.
This saved me a lot and was absolutely worth it for Busan. If you’re planning to visit several attractions, I really think this is one of the best-value things to get.

I took this from the airport into Seoul and found it really comfortable, especially after a flight. The luggage handling made things easier, and it was a very smooth way to get into the city.
Incheon Airport Limousine Bus Ticket
I used this on the way back to the airport and liked it because it was fast and straightforward. It’s a good option if you want to avoid traffic and get there more predictably.
AREX Incheon Airport Express Train Ticket
I used this for my return trip to Busan, and it was a great buy for moving between cities. I’d recommend it if you’re planning to explore more than one place during your Korea trip.

I’d book this in advance because it saves time and makes the whole visit easier. It’s a nice classic Seoul activity, and the city view is worth seeing at least once.

I really think this is something worth trying in Korea, especially if you want special photos and a more memorable visit to the palace. The free entry to Gyeongbokgung is a nice bonus too.
