Went through five tubes of different creams in my first two weeks. Most did nothing. These are the ones that had visible healing overnight, no joke.

Cheap disposable pads were sticking to my cracked skin and ripping it open every time I changed them. Switching pads was honestly as important as finding the right cream.

There were days when even my shirt touching my nipples made me want to scream. These created a protective barrier so my skin could breathe and heal without contact.

When the pain was at its worst, I needed something cold and soothing right after a feed. Gel pads were like a cold compress for my nipples and they worked immediately.

My regular bras were torture devices on cracked nipples. Finding bras with zero compression on sore spots made a bigger difference than I expected.

Pumping with cracked nipples felt like medieval torture until I got the right flange size and added some lubrication. These made pumping bearable and sometimes even comfortable.

Cracked nipples were just one piece of the postpartum puzzle. These helped with everything else falling apart so I could actually focus on healing and bonding with my baby.
