Carrying a rigid container back and forth to the office every day drove me nuts. These fold down to almost nothing after lunch, and they tuck right into my laptop bag without taking up the space I need for, you know, my laptop.

I ruined a notebook and a pair of headphones before I found containers that actually seal when you're carrying something soupy. These survived being tossed sideways in my bag with chili inside. Not a single drop.

My kid came home with a crushed container and sauce all over the inside of his backpack exactly once before I switched everything to collapsible. Now he folds them flat and actually brings them home instead of losing them.

When I moved into a studio, my cabinet situation was one shelf and a prayer. Stackable meal prep containers were still too bulky. These collapse after washing and suddenly I had room for actual groceries.

Hotel mini-fridges, airport food, campsite cooking. Regular containers are dead weight in a suitcase. These fold flat and slip into any bag pocket, so I always have something to store leftovers or pack snacks on the go.

Half the collapsible containers I tried in the beginning couldn't handle the microwave or turned into ice bricks in the freezer. These survived both without warping, cracking, or developing that weird permanent smell.

Figured I'd include these because the same bag-space problem applies to drinks. Empty water bottles rolling around your bag taking up room drove me to try collapsible ones, and some of them are genuinely great.
