I spent three cycles testing different discs and these are the ones where I genuinely forgot I was on my period. That's the bar. If I could feel it, it got cut from the list.

Disposables got expensive fast. Once I figured out my size and what shape worked for my body, going reusable saved me about forty bucks every few months. These paid for themselves in two cycles.

Real talk, there's a learning curve with discs. My first three tries involved some leaking while I figured out placement. Period underwear saved my jeans and my sanity during that phase.

Nobody warned me that soap residue on a silicone disc can cause irritation. Learned that one the uncomfortable way. These are pH-balanced and actually made for the job.

Switching to a disc reduced my cramps compared to tampons, but they didn't disappear completely. These are the things that got me through days one and two without curling up on the couch all afternoon.

Period week used to be something I dreaded. Once I nailed the disc situation, I built a little routine around making those days actually bearable. Some of this might seem small but it all added up.

Discs are great at home but figuring out the public restroom situation took some planning. This is what I keep in my work bag so I'm never caught unprepared or washing a disc in a communal sink.
