Instead of joining island-hopping tours, I chose to discover Phuket itself. Every place in this collection is somewhere I personally visited and would happily recommend to anyone planning their own Phuket adventure.

Big Buddha was one of the places I was most EXCITED to visit in Phuket, so I was a little disappointed to find it closed during my trip. Even so, I'm really glad we decided to stop because the panoramic views overlooking the sea and surrounding hills...
I also loved spotting several monkeys wandering freely around the area, which ended up being such a fun and unexpected part of the visit.

My tip is to check the latest opening status before you go, as access may occasionally be restricted. Even if the statue is closed, I'd still recommend stopping by for the incredible views alone.

From exciting shows to unique attractions, these are the experiences that made my Phuket trip even more fun and memorable.

Dolphins Bay Phuket was one of the most ENJOYABLE shows I watched during my trip!
The dolphins and fur seals were incredibly smart and the performance was entertaining from start to finish.  I also liked that there were several ticket options depending on the experience you were looking for. You can simply watch the show, add a photo session with the dolphins afterward, or even choose to swim with them under the supervision of their tra...
You can also choose your seat based on the experience you're looking for. Rows 1 and 2 are the splash zone, so be prepared to get wet during the show. If you'd rather stay dry, simply choose a seat farther back.
I'd also recommend choosing a showtime that fits your schedule and arriving early, as late entry isn't allowed once the performance has started. If you're visiting Phuket with family or simply love dolphins, I'd definitely recommend adding this show ...

Carnival Magic COMPLETELY blew me away and became one of the most unforgettable experiences of my trip to Phuket!
From the moment I walked in, I couldn't stop admiring the dazzling lights, magnificent architecture and incredible details that made every corner feel like stepping into a real-life fairytale.
The spectacular performances inspired by Thai culture made the whole experience even more magical and I found myself smiling from beginning to end. It's honestly one of those places I'd happily visit again every time I return to Phuket.

My Tip: Arrive before sunset so you have plenty of time to explore the beautifully themed village, take photos, and enjoy everything the park has to offer before the main show begins.

No trip to Patong feels complete without experiencing Bangla Road after dark at least once. As soon as the sun sets, the entire street transforms with colorful neon lights, live music, street performers and an incredible energy that's unlike anywhere...
Even though I'm not usually into nightlife, I genuinely enjoyed walking through the street, people-watching and soaking up the lively atmosphere. It was such a fun way to experience a completely different side of Patong.

My Tip: Visit after sunset, especially on Friday or Saturday if you'd like to see Bangla Road at its liveliest. Even if nightlife isn't usually your thing, it's still worth experiencing at least once.

If you're looking for fresh seafood in Patong, Daily Seafood is definitely worth a visit. The restaurant serves a wide variety of fresh seafood alongside classic Thai dishes, making it a great place to experience local flavors.
This was where I had my very first authentic Thai Tom Yum and it completely exceeded my expectations. The soup was rich, refreshing and packed with aromatic herbs and spices that gave it a wonderfully bold flavor.
Seafood lovers will also enjoy being able to choose from a selection of fresh seafood before it's prepared. Located just across from the beach, it's the perfect place to enjoy a satisfying meal while soaking up the atmosphere of Patong.

Although it's smaller than Naka Market, I loved its relaxed atmosphere, local street food, handmade crafts and live music.
It felt like discovering a hidden gem that made my evening in Phuket even more memorable. Since it's only a short walk from Phuket Old Town, it's an easy place to add to your itinerary if you're already exploring the area.

I wasn't expecting to spend so much time at Central Phuket, but I ended up really enjoying it! It was the perfect place to take a break from sightseeing while still discovering something new.

One side is home to luxury international brands, while the other features familiar stores like Uniqlo, along with plenty of restaurants, cafes and entertainment.

I found myself stopping by 7-Eleven almost every day during my trip. With stores on almost every corner, it became my go-to place whenever I needed a quick snack, a refreshing drink, or a light meal between exploring Phuket.
Some of my favorite finds were the self-serve Thai tea from the drink machine, the Sunshine chocolate milk in its unique triangular pouch and the famous cheese toasted sandwich, which was freshly heated in-store.
As a bread lover, I also couldn't resist trying the packaged bakery items almost every day. They were surprisingly soft, delicious and perfect for breakfast or a quick snack.
Another meal I really enjoyed was the Korean-style chicken fried rice, which made for an easy and satisfying lunch. I also picked up a random chicken skin snack one day, and it unexpectedly became one of my favorite Thai snacks.

My Tip: Don't just stick to familiar products. Take the opportunity to try the drinks, snacks, packaged bread, toasted sandwiches and ready-to-eat meals, you might discover a few unexpected favorites along the way.
