Great lesson for kids about sharing and appreciation. One of my favorites as a kid.
The Giving Tree
Really cute story with GREAT illustrations!
The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear
Fun story, gets their imagination going wild! Great for kids
Where the Wild Things Are
Cute story! My copy as a child had a sing along CD and I still remember the song to this day (click here for the link to play for your kiddos if your book doesn't come with a CD)
Puff, the Magic Dragon
Another good story with wonderful illustrations! I remember staring at the pictures in this book for hours as a kid
King Bidgood's in the Bathtub
Such a funny and simple book for young kids!
The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog!
Another simple kids book. Cute pictures too!
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie
The Hunger Games (series)
An absolute favorite book series of mine. Completely heartbreaking and thought-provoking, I cannot reccomend it enough!
A must have if you want to collect a cohesive set of these fantastic books! And the original artwork is so nostalgic you can't go wrong!
Hunger Games 5-Book Box Set
An excellent start to the series. Heartbreaking, captivating, and beatuiful all at once. A perfect place to start!
The Hunger Games
My favorite book in this series for such a long time. The balance between the hope and frustration you hold for these characters is unmatched. I could reread it forever!
Catching Fire
Such an amazing ending to the original trilogy. As much as I love the prequels, I would have been satisfied with this as the ultimate ending. Grab some tissues and a comfy reading spot for this one, for sure.
Mockingjay
This was an addition I didn't know I needed. The context that this book adds to the Hunger Games storyline simultaneously sickening and fascinating. I highly reccomend if you enjoyed the trilogy and are looking for more!
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
This might have been my favorite novel I've read in a LONG time. Making connections between the past we explored in The Balled of Songbirds and Snakes and the future we know well from the original trilogy messes with your brain. I mean this in the be...
Sunrise on the Reaping
Lord of the Rings (and related books)
A thrilling tale! I reccomend starting with the Hobbit because 1) that's the chronological order and 2) it helps you ease into Tolkien's writing style.
The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings
For the hardcore fans; this book is no easy feat, but will teach you all you could ever want to know about the LOTR universe
The Silmarillion
Harry Potter
A classic book series. My dad read these books to me as a kid and that sparked my love for them. Even now (ignoring JK Rowling's personal beliefs), they stand as a really enjoyable book series to read.
Harry Potter Books 1-7
For the real Harry Potter fans: here is a copy of the book that Dumbledore leaves Hermione in his will, ultimately leading to the discovery of the deathly hallows. Fun book to add to your collection!
The Tales of Beedle the Bard
Another addition to the Harry Potter universe. Though it was not quite as popular as the original series, I still enjoyed reading it (and a real Harry Potter fan's gotta have this one to compelte their collection).
