i really dove into reading more this year and found some of my all time favorite books! i definitely gravitate towards more sad, heavy books (beware). BUT i threw some beach reads in there!
rich meets up with his old college professor after discovering that he has ALS and doesnt have much time. they spend every tuesday together taking their final class together; all about death and what it means to live. oh man SO beautifully written an...
Tuesdays with more
i never had to read this in school and im so glad i did this year. SUPER interesting narrator; you watch how his intelligence starts to increase rapidly after a surgery, and witness how his perspective shifts, how he is treated differently, and piece...
flowers for Algernon
the second in the series and by far this best (in my opinion). a classic enemies to lovers, dark fantasy, sexy vibe. i read this so fast and i loved the character development for the protagonist. this book makes the whole series worth it
a court of mist and fury
my quickest read this year. a fun mix between love island and the hunger games (how good does that sound lol). i literally ate this up. PERFECT vacation read if you're looking for something with a bit more suspense, drama, and a bit of darkness.
the compound
i am a glennon doyle lover. she makes me feel so powerful and feminine and passionate and this book really showed me how important it is to be my full self. women water down so much of ourselves to keep the peace and we need to unlearn this!!! lets m...
untamed
well of course. a day i'm not a hunger games fan i am not me! a heart wrenching story about haymitch's lore. YA fiction that holds up well in adulthood, and makes me feel like i'm 12 again staying up late reading the hunger games for the first time. <3
sunrise on the reaping
i told you i would do a beach read! this was really cute and fun. i love a friends to lovers trope, and i'm always yearning to travel. also, you gotta read it before the movie comes out next year!
