My first Brandon Sando read (I know) and this was so reminiscent of old fantasy 🤌🏻
Elantris by Brandon Sanderson
This was the first ARC I ever received and it BLEW me out of the waters. This is a horror fantasy, so just keep in mind there's elements of spiritualism, but it combined my fav elements of thriller with the image invoking prose of fantasy.
Delicious Monsters by Liselle Sambury
Thrillers
If I'm not having palpitations is it even a thriller??
The first thriller I didn't completely figure out by the halfway point
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
I loved this book. I'm not a huge fan of horror which this definitely dipped into but wooooow.
The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix
I fell in love with a Good Girls Guide to Murder and Ms.Jackson just keeps bringing the hits. I cannot wait to read Five Survive after the whirlwind of this book (prepare to read in one sitting).
The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson
Romance
A lover girl to my core
The book that made me fall back in love with writing, which I think must make it the best romance ever
Beach Read by Emily Henry

Can you even call yourself a romance reader if you haven't read THE romance? Dare I call Ms. Austen the mother of enemies to lovers 👀
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
This woman could hand me the napkin she used to wipe her mouth and I would say thank you.
Book Lovers by Emily Henry
Cade Eaton... that's all I gotta say (if you don't like spice, don't read this, unless you REALLY like cowboys who are single dads and spitfire FMCs who moonlight as nannys)
Heartless by Elsie Silver

Stories of life hold a special place in my heart
An INCREDIBLE read
Pachinko by Min Jin Lee
One of the hardest books for me to read, but I'm better for it. A Baptist preacher brings his family to Africa to "civilize" the natives there and learns "wow maybe white people aren't all that"...
The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
This is called a classic for a reason. I think this may be the greatest dystopian work...
1984 by George Orwell
Dystopian
Who doesn't love speculating on the end of the world?... Nihilism is strong with this one.
You saw this coming the second you read "dystopian" didn't you.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Tbh if you claim to love zombie books, and you haven't read this series, I'm going to question you. Mix the classic post-apocalyptic world with like Pokemon cards (you'll see) and you get this.
Rot and Ruin by Jonathan Mayberry
The DND campaign I'm starting in fall 2025 is inspired by maze runner... I genuinely don't think I could be more excited.
The Maze Runner by James Dashner
I don't know what I would be but I know what I'm certainly not—dauntless. Nonetheless, it was nice to see inside the head of someone who is (shout-out to my original book boyfriend, Four)
Divergent by Veronica Roth
Why does no one talk about this book???....probably because book 2 hasn't come out yet. I've never forgiven her for that (and Jacob imprinted on a literal child).
