What’s a day in PDX without a cup of coffee? From breakfast sandwiches to cultural twists, you’re destined to find something you like.
I love the breakfast sandwiches and the barista specials! Everyone there is so kind, and it’s a good place to chill.
PUSH X PULL
Their coffee is great, but my favorite is the jasmine matcha latte! I love that they have a few locations.

Espresso con panna, Mocha Fogo, or any of their specialty drinks are delicious! Get the pao de queijo waffle!
Nossa Familia Coffee
A quiet place to work featuring Filipino-American inspired coffee drinks. Coconut cold brew has my heart.
Kalesa Coffee
Not a “traditional” coffee shop, but one of my new favorites for matcha and boba. They also have coffee!
Tea Loft
Popcorn lattes and vegan treats are the standouts here.

My sister and I are obsessed with this place. Cherry almond is our favorite, but all of the flavors have their time and place!

Vietnamese pastries, coffee, and soup specials to warm the soul. Get the one-of-everything if you can’t decide!

Filipino-American bakery that specializing in breakfast sandwiches and Filipino bakery classics like pandesal and ensaymada.

Thrifting in Oregon is unmatched. You really can find anything you want and more! Some places also do up-cycling or redesigns on furniture and clothing.
Curated vintage store that also does markets! I always find something here.
Tantrum Vintage
My favorite store to get lost in. Find curated vintage, upcycled, and handmade goods.
Urbanite
Another thrift mall to get lost in! Make sure you take some time to look through every section.
Memory Den
The place to go if you love vintage furniture. They also have some clothes!

Magpie is so fun to browse! They have everything from leather jackets to costume wear.

Don’t be deceived - this place is huge. It does get a little hot during the summer, but it’s not a huge deal!

The Saturday market is a must-go. There are tons of local food and craft vendors, farmers, bakers, and more. I buy my Choi’s kimchi from here because they carry the large size not available in store!

There’s so much food to try that I’ll probably have to make another list. But, here are some places that are good for a solo diner or a couple of friends!
Three words: Crab Fat Noodles. Oh, and skewers.
Magna Kusina
The fried chicken is the star here. Get the “Hat Yai for 2” and a couple of their NA drinks!
Hat Yai
A small Vietnamese spot with a rotating noodle soup menu. Make sure you double check what day it is and what soups are available before you go.
ANNAM VL
When I’m missing home, I go here. This is REAL poke, not the fusion stuff you see on the mainland.
OG Poke
Bars/Breweries
Breweries are part of PNW culture. Although I don’t drink much anymore, all breweries/bars in Oregon are required to have food, and many of them have a decent amount of NA drinks. Here are some I’ve enjoyed visiting!
Good beer, good pizza, and near a few other bars. Perfect place to start the night off or to just hang out.

Rustic interior and lots of lagers.
