Last year, I wanted to focus on fragrances. I remember wanting to wear perfume when I was younger, but there was nothing in the department stores that I loved enough to spend money on - and I just wasn't exposed to anything beyond that. For a long ti...
This has become my #1 signature scent. It's like a warm hug. Smells feminine and pretty. Notes of cardamom, mimosa, and tonka bean. I wear this all year. They also make a body creme for most of the scents. $168 for 3.4 oz.
Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom
This. Is. So. Nice. Another skin scent with rice as the most prominent note. It's musky and very pretty. I actually spray this on my bed.
Diptyque L'Eau Papier
OK so this one is a little more than $200, but I had to add it to the list. This is a fragrance I expect to smell in an upscale hotel lobby. It has notes of Sapodilla, Ambrette, Magnolia, Violet, and Sandalwood. Fresh, clean scent. Definitely a signa...
Byredo Mojave Ghost
This is considered a gourmand, but it's not sugary sweet. It has vanilla, coffee, white flowers, and pink pepper. Lasts all day on me. I usually wear this to formal events. $172 for 3 oz.
Yves Saint Laurent YSL Black Opium
Another gourmand with notes of iris, black currant, and patchouli. A woman walked past me in the mall and she was wearing this. I went and bought it. I actually wear this to the gym a lot. $164 for 3.4 oz.
Lancôme La Vie Est Belle
This is so nice. The dry down on this one is better than the spray in my opinion. Notes: orange, jasmine, rose, and patchouli with warm vanilla undertones. It's nice. Pretty. $176 for 3.4 oz.
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle
This is a skin scent and it will smell differently on everyone. So it's your skin but better. A favorite of mine. They recently came out with 3 new scents: You Doux (a warmer, sweeter version), You Fleur (a softer, floral version), and You Rêve (a ri...
Glossier You
I find myself reaching for this one a lot. I really like the lavender note in this fragrance. Notes are lavender, orange blossom, jasmine, vanilla, and white musk. It's nice. I don't think you can overspray this.
Yves Saint Laurent YSL Libre
Another lavender scent but with vanilla. Very nice and not too sweet. There is also caviar lime in this fragrance. I reach for this one a lot.
Burberry Goddess
This a fresh, clean scent. Sea salt, sage, and red algae with ambrette seeds. Classic scent. $168 for 3.4 oz.
Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt
Listen - I've heard a lot of women say it smells like a grandma haha! I still like this and wear it sometimes, but it definitely qualifies as a signature scent. Timeless. Legendary. $176 for 3.4 oz.
Chanel N°5
This is a soft floral. Almost like a skin scent in my opinion. Not too sweet. Soft scent. Notes of freesia, bergamot, vanilla orchid, jasmine, and musk. I like this one a lot. $99 for 1.7 oz.
Phlur Soft Spot
If you like a more powdery fragrance - try this one. Notes of aldehydes, pink pepper, bergamot, ambrette, sandalwood, and musk. Powdery fresh but not overpowering. Leaves a nice scent bubble. $135 for 1.7 oz.
Diptyque Fleur de Peau
This is a fragrance that has ozonic notes, amberwood, and white musk. Another skin scent that reminds me of a hotel lobby. Layer this with their body oil to enhance the longevity. Very nice scent. $98 for 1.7 oz.
Lake & Skye 11 11
I really wish there was a spray for this fragrance. I buy this and pour it into my vanilla scented body creams to stretch it. Notes are jasmine, ylang ylang, amber, lilac, sandalwood, and musk. I love this one a lot. $29.50 for ½ oz.
