Spectacular trails, good elevation in some spots. Highly recommend it!
Maybury State Park
Great hiking, some trails are more challenging than others. Great elevation, always a good workout.
Independence Oaks County Park
Awesome trail, I always see deer here. Pretty easy, great scenery, excellent for photographers. The Nature Center is a really cool place to take your kids.
Stage Nature Center
This is a great trail. Very easy, not a ton of elevation but takes you into the woods and along the Huron River. So beautiful!
Barton Nature Area
Beautiful scenery and a great workout.
University of Michigan Nichols Arboretum
The Botanical Gardens are obviously lovely but the trails are wonderful also. There is a meditative labyrinth, ponds, trails which wind through wooded areas. Gorgeous!
Matthaei Botanical Gardens
Beautiful scenery along the river. This path mostly paved and flat, however there is a small section of the path which is unpaved. Lots of wildlife, beautiful swans in particular. Well maintained and enjoyable.
Gallup Park
Lovely trail, great exercise and scenery.
Parker Mill County Park
Easy trail. Trails get very icy in the winter so wear your microspikes if you’re into winter hikes.
Woodland Hills Hiking Trails
Nice little trail, very easy loop. Trails get very muddy in the spring or after heavy rains so wear shoes you don’t care about getting dirty.

Very easy loop, just over a mile in length. The themed gardens are beautiful sites to see. I went at sunset and took some gorgeous pictures.

The Valley, River, and Meadow trail loops are just over 2 miles and provide beautiful views. Very icy in the window, super muddy in the spring. Definitely worth a visit.
