Pubs and Bars we love going to for a quiet drink or two
Cambridgeshires smalles pub, this little nook has some of the best fresh beers on tap from local producers. It gets busy quickly but worth a pint if you can get in.
The Snug Micro Pub
This pub is a beautiful old country pub, its got great parking onsite and a good play set for the kids. Its very popular for local clubs to meet up.
The White Swan Conington | Real Ales, Fine Wines, Great Food
This bar is suprisingly big and has a great selection, its very popular and has a prime location next to the river.
The Taproom
This is a proper british pub with a great selection and the best beer garden in St Ives, overlooking the river.

The food represents some of the best Cantonese & Chinese in the county. This restaurant will be busy on the quietest night in town, book to avoid disappointment.

Me and my wife love Montaz, its choice is unrivalled and the quality of food is outstanding, the restaurant is modern yet cozy and you are always made to feel welcome.

This is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, afternoon tea on an old train carriage, it’s very well done.

Beautiful walks locally, some long some short
This is one of our families favorite walks, it will take about an hour to get all the way around, can get muddy in the winter.
Fen Drayton Nature Reserve, Cambridgeshire
This is a beautiful walk from St Ives all the way up to Houghton Meadows.
Houghton Meadows
The Mill runs tours so you can see inside where they will show you how the Mill worked. Great parking and a beautiful setting with walks all around the area.
National Trust - Houghton Mill & Waterclose Meadows
This is a short walk around an island and is a close walk from the St Ives high street. It has beautiful views of the river Cam.
Holt Island Nature Reserve
This is a beautiful spot, great parking and lots of different areas with kids play equipment.
Hinchingbrooke Country Park

Cakes, Pastry, Patisserie and great Coffee
Tom's cakes is always busy but well worth a visit, can't beat a coffee and a doughnut in her on a Sunday morning.

Our family love coming here for Croissants, patisseries and Coffee at the weekend. Try to get there before 10am or the queue will be out of the door with the park runners finishing up there morning runs.

Local produce shops and farmed locally
This butcher is amazing; there pork is some of the best i have ever had. They only open later in the week so try to get there Thursday / Friday for the largest selection.

This is an amazing place, it’s like a zoo but with a produce hall and restaurants all in one place, my kids love it and me, and my wife love the butchers.
