I was eyeballing my alignment for two years and wondering why nothing improved. The day I stuck two rods in the ground and saw how far off I was aiming, it clicked instantly.

I stabbed myself reaching into my bag more times than I'll admit. A simple cover solved that and kept the sticks from rattling around like drumsticks in a trash can.

Plain sticks in the ground only got me so far. Adding a connector or a gate drill bumped my accuracy to a level where I actually started aiming at specific targets instead of ‘somewhere over there.’

Sticks alone won't help if you can't see what the ball is doing. I added a few cheap tools and suddenly my practice sessions had actual structure instead of just smashing a bucket and leaving.

YouTube helped, but a couple of books gave me the ‘why’ behind the drills. Once I understood ball flight laws, every range session with my sticks started making way more sense.
