When I describe coffee from any coffee shop I talk about their “bean.” They have a good “bean” or a good “roast.” I'm kind of a snob and a purist when it comes to my coffee. Whidbey Coffee has a good bean and a good roast. I like a high-octane coffee. 24 ounce, 5 shots, 1 ½ Splenda, 2% milk. Yum. I watch other people ordering all kinds of combos with flavors, blended or hot, everything you can think of. Whidbey Coffee has 13 locations, 4 of which are on Whidbey Island. I highly recommend this coffee company. Enjoy!

There are 4 Starbucks stores in Oak Harbor. Haggen grocery store, Safeway grocery store, North Oak Harbor and South Oak Harbor. I know what you're thinking, boring, corporate Starbucks. But let me tell you this: At the Oak Harbor locations, they have a great bean and a great roast! I have my usual, 24 ounce latte, 5 shots, 2% milk, 1 ½ Splendas. Delicious. Now my Dad has a very involved drink. 16 ounce caramel frappe. Caramel drizzled inside the sides of the cup, drizzled on top of the whip cream. Mercy. He says every time how delicous it is. And it looks pretty! At every location I see people enjoying all kinds of beverage combos. The city water in Oak Harbor is good so there isn't any influence of water taste as in some areas. Enjoy. Yes, enjoy a Starbucks!

Diedrich Espresso has a nice, dark roasted bean. This is my favorite roast, dark. The flavor is amazing and shows up right away with the first sip. Serving Dillanos coffee beans with a custom roast you won't be disappointed. Established over 13 years ago, you will find the Oak Harbor location (drive-thru) on Ault Field Road, close to NAS Whidbey. I highly recommend this coffee. Enjoy!
Diedrich Espresso Oak Harbor
This was my first time at Crabby Coffee in Freeland. A drive-thru, it's home is an old gas station, long time ago. Painted in bright red and yellow, it stands out nicely with little crab characters around. I had a 24 ounce, 5 shot, 2 Splenda, regular milk, latte. Dad had a 16 ounce caramel frappe. Not the best bean I've ever had but not the worst either! The barista was very nice.

Jet Java has drive-thrus up and down the island. They have a good, nicely roasted bean. I get my usual 24 ounce, 5 shot latte with regular milk. For all of the Jet Javas I've visited, the people have all been nice, professional and you definitely have the feeling that you want to go back. They have cookies, protein items, hot food. No matter which one you choose, I can only say, “Yum.”

I've only been to Hot Shot in Oak Harbor. They have a nice bean roast and make a great drink. I have my usual 24 ounce, 2 Splenda, regular milk, lattee. It does not disappoint. Always nice baristas. The building is not snappy-looking but you won't be disappointed with you coffee beverage.

I really like the roast on this coffee bean. Cedar and Salt has two locations, one i n Oak Harbor (just a drive-thru) and one in Coupeville (inside seating and ordering.) I've never been disappointed in all of the coffees I've ordered here. My only complaint is their signage. Their signs are so small and with a logo that you just can't figure out when you look at it. You can find it in Oak Harbor sharing the parking lot with Sonic. In Coupeville you will have a very hard time to pick out the driveway. It's worth the inconvenience. I can highly recommend Cedar and Salt.

This is a neat little sit-down coffee roasters. The coffee is absolutely Delicious and it smells so good in there! They roast their own beans and have different types, flavors. This coffee has a lot of body to it and I recommend it, highly.

This place is ALWAYS hopping! They are much more than coffee. They have a full menu of cold and hot food, from yogurt parfaits to grilled sandwiches and salads. Their pastries are unequaled. My Dad loves the lemon blueberry coffee cake, rich chocolate brownies. We've split sandwiches before, they're good sized! The coffee is delicious. I highly recommend Sunshine Drip but be prepared to wait sometimes. There is outdoor seating during good weather but also have a generous inside seating.

This is the cutest little stand! There are two pictures on here that I'm not sure why they showed up but this is a little stand that looks like a barn. Their logo is a cute little cow but their coffee is wonderful! Prairie Perks is close to the Coupeville high school and shares the parking lot with the now defunct Coupeville bowling alley. The stand is easy in, easy out. I highly recommend them.

I was so excited to visit Jupiter Coffee and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is like stepping into a Whidbey-ized Area 51. It is unique, fun, charming and welcoming all at once. You walk through quaint, outdoor seating and the first thing you see when going through the door is a case of homemade baked goods. WOW! My dad took about 15 minutes to choose a goody. I ordered a 12oz triple latte, no flavors, one stevia. I will say this, the bean roast is light. In a coffee that size with that many shots I was expecting a punch but it is a light roast. My favorite part was how they managed the milk. It wasn't foamy, it was creamy! So smooth and so satisfying. Will definitely go back. Thank you Jupiter!

I've been here a couple of times before. Unfortunately, today the comfy seating area was open but the coffee/food bar was not. I'm not sure why. I will say my experiences there have been positive. Coffee good, food good, atmosphere comfy. This shares space with Whidbey Telecom and looks like it is part of their office. This place is clean, great restrooms and easy to get in and out of. I'll be back again when I'm headed down the island and I'll update this review.
