Furies of Calderon (Codex Alera Series #1) by Jim Butcher

The Elemental Trilogy by Sherry Thomas
great start to a series that is perfect for fans who love magic, magic schools and a protagonist fighting against the odds. the entire series is complete so no cliffhangers here
The Novice (Summoner, #1) by Taran Matharu
this one is for fans of romantasy with a female mc who is no damsel in distress. great if you love cool powers, arranged marriages and enemies to lovers
The Winter King (Weathermages of Mystral, #1)
