Yes it is magical in the winter but it’s pretty fun (albeit crowded) all year. Both retail and food vendors a plenty. Even a carousel for the kids. Even if you can’t grab a seat there are plenty places for a blanket on the lawn.

Yes cliche but when in Rome…… again plenty of benches for well sitting or watching the water or the people.
Central Park
Most of us will not be attending the Met Gala…..but you can sit or walk those steps. Grab a snack from one of the vendors and watch the street performer’s. If you’re up for it tour the museum (for a fee).

Perfect if your tripping with a friend- other than location the big for this hotel was the concierge can set up a private car to the airport- this is not only nicer but cheaper than Uber.
