This book was different but it was short and I did enjoy it. Give it a chance, it does start slow but gets better
Pineapple Street: A GMA Book Club Pick: A Novel
This is based on a true story. It was a slow starter and honestly a bit too long in my opinion but overall I really enjoyed the story. I’m not one to read historical books but I do recommend this one.
The Boxcar Librarian: A Novel
This was a fascinating, yet terrifying look at a potential nuclear war that everyone should read.
Nuclear War: A Scenario
Self-Help/Mental Health
In 2024 I vowed to read a lot of self help books to try and help myself and my mental health, something I hadn’t been putting first. I recommend this book if you ever feel like the crazy person when dealing with your parents
Recovering from Emotionally Immature Parents
A sociopath in fact lives next door to me and this was a fascinating look at how to deal with it.
The Sociopath Next Door
This wasn’t the most helpful of the books I read but I’m including everything I read since what helped me may not help you and vice versa. This is also on kindle unlimited!
Running on Empty: Overcome Childhood Neglect
This book was the best book I read. It was so helpful in understanding my life. I highly recommend it!
You're Not Crazy: Freedom for Daughters of Narcissistic Mothers
Another excellent book that was very helpful! I hope it can also help other people.
Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents
This is written by a Christian author, however, it is a great book to help you move forward in life after struggles
Forgiving What You Can't Forget: Move On & Heal
Find freedom from toxic people, learn how to walk away because your happiness is what matters most, not pleasing other people
When to Walk Away: Freedom from Toxic People
While Lysa is a Christian author, her advice is helpful and valuable to everyone! I highly recommend all her books, but this is one of the best
Good Boundaries and Goodbyes: Loving Others
This book honestly changed my life. If you are the good daughter, you have to read it! I can’t recommend this book enough to EVERYONE!
The Good Daughter Syndrome: Help for Empathic Daughters
