Protect Yourself While Protesting
This list has the basics that you will want if you are going to attend a protest in the US (unless it's just a basic sign holding event). This is based on feedback and recommendations from real activists.If putting together a protest kit, include the numbers to criminal defense attorneys and bail bondsmen in your area. It may take you 3-4 minutes when you start, you probably want it closer to the 30 second mark.General Clothing Tips:- Shirts should have long sleeves to protect from chemical exposure - Pants should be full length and tucked into boots to prevent chemical exposure - Pants should not require a belt (they may take your belt if you are arrested) - Tuck your boot laces into the boots so you don’t trip at the event - If you are wearing contact lenses, bring spare glasses and put them in a hard glasses case.- Consider carrying an extra set of clothes to make sure you don't bring contaminants into vehicles - Wash any contaminated clothes separately in cold water.Also, YES there are amazon links below but I recommend using the NON-Amazon links listed in the comment to not support them if that is possible for you.
