Where to get good coffee
Starbucks drinkers not allowed (kidding, but seriously there is much better out there)
I have tried many coffee spots in my nearly 5 years of living in Seattle. This is hands down my favorite. We buy their whole bean espresso blend - it's just that good. The menu is straightforward, the baristas are lovely…it's coffee as it should be!
Herkimer Coffee
If you must do a chain coffee place, go to Diva Espresso. They're always consistent, they're locally owned and operated, and roast in small batches. They've also been around for YEARS. They have several locations around Seattle, but not too many as t...
Diva Espresso - Seattle, WA
Black-owned coffee shop that I use to frequent often when I lived in Cap Hill. They feature a lot of great roasts from East Africa. The shop is cute and a great space to work. They also have some quick bites! Highly recommend supporting this small, l...
Boon Boona Coffee · Seattle, WA
A breath of fresh air in a city full of coffee shops! A European style cafe with all the Scandinavian decor to go along with it. It’s a light and airy space with great coffee and even better food options. I like the SLU location the best, beside it’s...
Café Hagen Modern European Cafe
Bagels & Burritos
The food that's food, but not really FOOD food, ya know?
Have never had a better bagel in my entire life. My friend who moved to NY said after trying many bagels there, she still misses Old Salt. They also hold up really well after freezing!
Old Salt
Mouthwatering is an understatement, and you're going to get it QUICK too. I always place a phone order and do pick-up. I only wish it were closer to me
TNT Taqueria
Restaurants - North Seattle
North Seattle and just North of Seattle 😉
They have great cocktails and the fusion dishes are some of the best I’ve ever had! We go here often for date nights.
Bar Dojo
My bf and I order from this place all the time, but we also have gone to dine in. Both the restaurant and the menu are massive, so you’ll find a little something for everyone. I always get the curry special, because I can’t do dairy, and an order of ...
Saffron Grill in Seattle, WA
Not a spot that would normally catch your eye, but I promise it’s worth a trip over here! My favorite spot to grab Mediterranean food! The owners and staff are so incredibly welcoming and kind, the food is always a hit and always fresh, and they have...
Mediterranean Oasis
Restaurants - Downtown Seattle
Avoid the tourist traps and eat here instead!
This is a vegan spot, but I’ve taken plenty of non vegans here and they’ve loved it just as much as I have. I recommend getting the devil wings and Massaman Curry.
Kati Vegan Thai
DO NOT SLEEP ON the Gnocchi al Forno! I am sad I no longer live within walking distance of this place, because I still think about that Gnocchi…simply incredible
La Vita E Bella Italian Restaurant
One of my favorite Thai spots in Seattle. The food is AMAZING, the drinks are fun while still tasting good, and the atmosphere is lively and festive. I love that they’ve tried to create a Thai street food vibe - all the decor is so much fun to look a...
Bangrak Market
Restaurants - Cap Hill
If you can make it up the hill!
If you love Sichuan you’ll love this place! My recs are the cucumber app, the Chinese greens, and the Mapo Tofu! Their menu is very friendly to dietary restrictions and they have both a dumpling truck and a noodle cart now as well as their brick and ...
Plenty of Clouds
You don't have to be vegetarian to love this place! It's so popular, in fact, that it can be hard to get in so come early or make a reservation. They also have a cute little bakeshop that is separate from the restaurant. Great food and options for bo...
Cafe Flora, Floret, Flora Bakehouse
Beer, Wine, & Spirits
I’ll add some mocktail recs in here too!
This place makes the best Sazerac. I love the moody vibes when you come here for a drink in the evening. It gives rich clubhouse + speakeasy vibes
