chain locations
my favourite chain locations of coffee shops in london---i do all my writing here
plenty of places to sit, nice location, good wifi
Ole & Steen
never full/loud, unwavering wifi, private location, great access to central and brit museum
Caffe Nero - Southampton Row
great access to central, usually quite crowded but good wifi
Ole & Steen
my favourite of the two kingsway location, lots of natural air/great in summer, beautiful and spacious inside, sometimes spotty wifi
Caffe Nero
tucked away, spacious, honey cardamom latte hard to beat, expensive though
Black Sheep Coffee
this is my fav location to write. hands down. best view of the royal courts of justice, makes me feel inspired, great drinks, great wifi, shockingly never full. however all soho coffee locations have weird hours so check on that
Soho Coffee Co.
working with an impeccable view of st. pauls??? YES. great wifi, not much room but grab a seat by the window for the views and the brightness, try the matcha
Soho Coffee Co. Gresham Street
how could you not, gets pretty crowded but even tho wifi can be spotty outside, always sit outside if you can on a nice day. great views of the cathedral, a less crowded side of the site. plus you can't go wrong with paul's. the upstairs is great too...
PAUL St. Pauls
best coffee. smells incredible inside. can get quite crowded but always impeccable, great views of strand/fleet street area, great wifi, fantastic almond croissant. p.s. – they are generous in too good to go wink wink
Roasting Plant Coffee
Spacious inside. Huge. Lots of nice seating. A few plugs. Wifi is not great, use the nextdoor “BDO” wifi.
PAUL Baker Street - Paul UK
Spacious, good wifi towards the front, can't beat Nero rewards.
West Hampstead - Caffè Nero
Unbeatable view of the heath (especially on certain times of the year). Great wifi. Pricey, but spacious. Can get crowded and families-with-kids-heavy on the weekend, but usually you can find a spot.
Hampstead Heath - Redemption Roasters
Very gorgeous interior. Good seating. Plus, who doesn't love Nero.
Maida Vale Caffè Nero
Black Sheep always has some of my fav drinks, especially matcha. Good wifi, very convenient location for anything you're up to in Paddington/Mayfair/etc.
Edgware Road - Black Sheep Coffee
The view changes lives. Get the chai, trust me. And the app because Gail's is expensive.
GAIL's Bakery Paddington
Genuinely the biggest Blank Street I think I've seen yet. This is for all of you who love Blank Street but are frustrated because you can never work in any of them. This has no plugs and no wifi, but it is roomy.
Blank Street Coffee Shoreditch
So cute. Great for brunch too. Affordable coffee, they have a punch card, and the coffee portion sizes are huge. Sit at the bar in the front and enjoy a nice WFH view!
Lolas Bakery: West Hampstead
This is in a mall but it's a great pit stop when grocery shopping. Lots of places to sit and lots of different wifi sources.
O2 Centre - SOHO Coffee
For the other chai freaks like me. Get a great masala chai with so many places to sit and great wifi.
Chaiiwala London - Kilburn
independent
non-chain coffee places I love to go to/work across London
Great service, cute (small) atmosphere, range of tea for tea drinkers!
CURLED LEAF, West Hampstead
Matcha!! Great cakes as well. Fine wifi, tucked away and on the first floor of a sushi restaurant so good views of Hampstead.
KARUTO - Hampstead
Almond croissant here changed my life. Amaze Hojicha latte. Best atmosphere. Great wifi. Small, but tucked away and stones throw from heath.
Rose & Rose Hampstead
Warning: only one place where laptops allowed, and that's not on the weekends. But you can't beat the atmosphere. Come here to read.
BookBar: Bookshop and Wine Bar
Great cakes, great food, great croissants, great lattes, roomy. Iffy with wifi, so be prepared. But great view of the brit museum x
Gaia Food And Drinks
Cute stop along Abbey Rd. Nice basement, great to get work done in. Wifi iffy from what I remember but I could be misremembering lol
