🏔️ Almaty & Mountain Escapes
A vibrant city surrounded by the Tian Shan mountains, making it the perfect base for exploring Kazakhstan’s incredible nature while still enjoying cafés, culture, and city life.
Three stunning mountain lakes surrounded by forests and dramatic peaks. The turquoise water and peaceful scenery make this one of the places I’d absolutely put on my itinerary. 💙
Kolsai Lakes National Park
One of Kazakhstan’s most surreal sights, famous for its submerged spruce trees rising dramatically from the turquoise water. 🌲💧
Kaindy
A striking alpine lake tucked into the mountains just outside Almaty, known for its beautiful blue-green water and incredible mountain backdrop. 🏔️
Big Almaty Lake
One of the places that made me realize just how underrated Kazakhstan is. Just outside Almaty, Shymbulak sits high in the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains, with incredible snowy peaks, panoramic views, and slopes for both beginners and experienced skiers. ...
Shymbulak
🏜️ Otherworldly Landscapes
Often compared with the Grand Canyon, but with its own dramatic personality. The famous Valley of Castles is filled with towering red rock formations that look almost like ancient fortresses. ❤️🏜️
Charyn Canyon National Park
A giant sand dune inside Altyn-Emel that can literally produce a deep humming or roaring sound when the sand moves under the right conditions. Definitely one of those “wait… this is real?” places. 🏜️✨
Singing dune Tours & Activities
Surreal multicolored geological formations in Altyn-Emel that look like something from another planet. The layers of pale, pink, red, and earthy tones make this a dream for photographers. 🤍🧡
