My Top 3 International Destinations & What To Do When You Get There!!

Traveling abroad for the first time? I’ve got you covered. This list isn’t just a generic roundup of beautiful places—it’s my personal set of recommendations, based on destinations that offer a mix of adventure, culture, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. But before we dive into where to go and what to do, let’s talk about something just as important: preparing for international travel. If this is your first time leaving the country, it’s normal to feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. There’s a lot to think about—passports, airport navigation, currency exchange, and even understanding how to blend into a new culture—but I promise, with a little preparation, you’ll feel confident and ready when it’s time to board that flight. Before You Go: First-Time Traveler Checklist, Passport: If you don’t have one yet, apply ASAP—processing can take months. Already have one? Double-check the expiration date; some countries won’t let you in if it expires within six months of arrival. Airport & TSA Preparedness: Arrive at least two hours early for international flights. Security checkpoints can be unpredictable, and you’ll want time to navigate customs if needed. Keep liquids under 3.4 ounces (100mL) and wear easy-to-remove shoes to speed up the TSA process. Currency Exchange: While credit cards are widely accepted, it’s smart to have local currency on hand for taxis, tips, or small vendors. Exchange a small amount at your bank before departure (better rates than airport kiosks), or withdraw from an ATM when you arrive. Understanding Local Customs: Every country has its own unspoken rules—what’s polite in one place might be offensive in another. A little research on cultural norms goes a long way. Immigration & Customs: Be prepared to answer basic questions about your trip at border control. In many countries, you’ll need to fill out an entry form or get a visa in advance. Once you’ve got these essentials squared away, you’re in for the adventure of a lifetime. Whether you're dreaming of strolling the streets of Paris, exploring the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, or lounging on a tropical beach in Thailand, this list will help you make the most of your journey. Let’s dive in—here are my Top 3 International Destination recommendations and what to do when you get there.

Plan Your Trip To Chicago!!

Dear Friend, I hope this finds you well. I wanted to personally invite you to experience the vibrant city of Chicago—a place that holds a special charm and offers something unique for everyone. Imagine standing before the iconic Cloud Gate, affectionately known as "The Bean," in Millennium Park, capturing reflections of the city's stunning skyline. Picture yourself exploring the Art Institute of Chicago, home to an extensive collection of art that spans centuries and cultures. Stroll along the Chicago Riverwalk, where you can enjoy scenic views, dine at riverside cafes, and perhaps embark on an architecture boat tour to appreciate the city's diverse architectural styles. For a taste of Chicago's culinary scene, indulge in a classic deep-dish pizza at renowned establishments like Pizzeria Uno or Lou Malnati’s. If you're a fan of live music, consider visiting venues like Kingston Mines, where you can immerse yourself in authentic blues performances. Chicago's neighborhoods each offer their own unique character. From the historic charm of Wicker Park to the vibrant arts scene in Pilsen, there's always something new to discover. I believe that your visit to Chicago will be both enjoyable and memorable. Should you decide to explore this dynamic city, I'd be more than happy to provide additional recommendations tailored to your interests. On my many trips to Chicago I have never had a lack wonderful things to see, things to keep me busy and plenty of great food to eat.
