Not only is the story intellectually-engaging, but the animation of the series is done by Wit Studio for the first 3 seasons and then MAPPA for the final season. It is beautifully, well-animated with a satisfying, aesthetically-pleasing art style.
The show and animation is very engaging, it may even spoil you with higher standards in the anime scene.

Arcane is a steampunk-ish action-adventure series set in the universe of League of Legends, a 2009 MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) video game. It has 2 seasons with a total of 18 episodes.
The story focuses family trauma, identity, and social/class divide told through the complex relationship of sisters, Vi and Jinx (born Powder), and the events that lead to the tear between them.
The setting of the show is on the planet Runeterra, specifically focusing on Piltover and Zaun, between the intersection of Valoran and Shurima. Piltover is known as the “City of Progress”, lead by the Council which is made up of members of the most influential individuals and houses; making this city richer and more prosperous, being the oppressor of it's sister city, Zaun. Zaun known as the “Undercity” is built upon the wastes of Piltover, where people are struggling to survive. This dilemma between the two cities causes a social/class divide as it is rich veruses poor/opressor verses the oppressed.
The art-style and animation is breathtaking as it features a unique blend between 2D and 3D elements. There are so many finer details within the animation which gives it so much more depth; subtle body movement to convey more emotions.
