Coffee
Neighbourhood gem. The staff is lovely, space is cute and cozy. Yummy sandwiches and pastries. Extensive coffee menu that rotates seasonally. The cocktails & wine list are also fun. I personally love the strawberry matcha, banana cardamom latte, ...
Worth the wait - get on the online waitlist when you wake up and stroll around Queen E and you'll be seated in no time. The OG patty melt is DIVINE. I dream of it.
White Lily Diner
Super lovely owners and staff. Warm, welcome space. I love getting the cardamom latte and shakshuka. The chicken sandwich and date grilled cheese are also amazing. Go early and be prepares for a line.
It's the blueberry compote and crispy pork belly french toast for me 🥵
Bodega Henriette
Dinner
One of my most visited restaurants. Incredible, authentic Peruvian food. The owners are sweethearts. The lucuma tres leches is one of the best desserts in the city. The shrimp risotto is perfection. Get a pisco sour and a chicha morada (better yet, w...
Nuna Kitchen & Bar
Cozy, French diner vibes. Love getting the fun pour and sitting at the bar. Ideal for a wintery evening, especially. Corn dogs, onion rings. I love it here sm.
Le Swan
so pretty inside, and genuinely incredible food.
Florette
The chicken is fine. The best part of Bernhardts are the rotating seasonal veg dishes and the soft serve. I'll deal with the slightly snobby service to have a cozy night here.
Bernhardt's
save room for dessert.
Imanishi Japanese Kitchen
one of my most frequented restaurants! great happy hour menu (with food), and I'm always so impressed that it's all vegan.
Probably my favourite burger in Toronto. But I think it's egregious that it doesn't come with fries so I only go during happy hour when the burger is a reasonable price for NO SIDES 🫨 Always perfect cooked and delightful. Great cocktails too.
The Comrade
two words: banana. pudding.
Rosie's Burgers
Cookies
I worked across the street for a couple years and I fell in love. Best cookie in the city. Courage and Made-Rite also have memorable ones, but if I had the option, I'd always pick these.
Tons of interesting, delicious flavours to pick from. Only downside is that you can't taste before you pick! So good. And they have a food truck so check their IG to see if they'll be near you :)
Ruru Baked
love the ice cream and cold subs! great to bring to the beach or a picnic :)
Matt, the owner, is the sweetest guy. They do lots of fun food pop-ups with local chefs - if you ever catch their fried mortadella special, GET IT. The cocktails are no fuss, delicious, strong. I love their whiskey sour and negroni.
i'm intimidated by the people who frequent this bar, but still love it. very cute for a nightcap or to start the night off with a lovely glass of wine.
the soft serve is everything to me, but you won't be disappointed with anything you order. super cute walk-up window to order, hours are a bit weird so look at Instagram ahead of time!
Roselle
Toronto institution, so good and the owner is a sweetheart.
Mystic Muffin
The croissants are DIVINE. Tied with Emmer for my fave.
