items Kefalonia is one of the few Greek Islands that still felt like a hidden gem. Even during peak summer travel time, the beaches weren't overcrowded and the restaurants had plenty of availability.
The pictures don’t even do it justice. Myrtos beach is the worth the visit to Kefalonia all by itself!

I can’t even believe I took some of these pics! Stumbled upon this beach by chance and ended up staying for hoursssss. Agios Thomas in Kefalonia. Truly a hidden gem. Nice little restaurant and bar for those who do find it!

Take the ferry to Lixouri! It’s cheap and extremely efficient. This area is SUPER quiet but Paranoia Petani beach is incredibly beautiful.

You mustttt try the Kefalonia meat pie at this bakery. The buttery, flaky crust is incredible!! Get there early, the good stuff sells out FAST.

Lorraine's Magic Hill Restaurant
This place was so unassuming. Just randomly walked past it without knowing it was known for some of the best gyros in Kefalonia. Everything was hot and fresh and that tzatziki was out of this world. Honorable mention: I still dream of those fries.

This cave is straight up MAGIC. You’ll float through crystal-clear water in a tiny rowboat while the roof opens up above you like a natural skylight. It’s peaceful, surreal, and unlike anything else in Greece. 10/10 must-see if you're in Kefalonia.
Melissani Cave
Truly the most perfect spot for sunrise and sunset. We spent HOURS here just listening to the water and taking in the mountains and sunset. Get there early because parking fills up fast.

This place truly feels like stepping into a postcard. Perfect place to go with friends or with your partner! The blue waters, the cute little restaurants, it's sooo scenic. Easiest way to get here is by ferry.
