Festive RomComs

Something to get you in the mistletoe mood!

I am so excited for this! I loved First Time and I can’t wait to see what B.K. does with paranormal romance.

Good Spirits: Magical Paranormal Holiday Romance

Ever since I read “First Time Caller” this summer I have been literally dying to read more of her books, but the fist book in the Lovelight Series is about a Christmas tree farm, so I’ve been waiting and waiting! Now is the time!

Lovelight Farms (The Lovelight Series)

You can never go wrong with Christina Lauren! Mae is at rock bottom when she heads off to the last Christmas in her family’s Utah Cabin. There’s a wish, a car accident, and a time loop that makes her relive Christmas over and over. And of course ther...

In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren

This is currently free for Kindle subscribers. It looks ridiculous and adorable, so I added it to my list.

Sleigh Bells and Slaughter: Holiday Cozy Mystery

Gender Swapped P&P that’s literally being made into a Hallmark movie? How could I NOT put this on my Holiday TBR!

Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe

Lucy Score is alway a great time. She’s a favorite of mine. I’m expecting a quick, festive, and spicy read.

North Is the Night (Deluxe Special Edition)|Hardcover

Literary Fiction

Just because it’s the season of candy and baked goods doesn’t mean all our reading needs to be brain rot too! Just most of it. 🫠

I read “Foster” by Claire Keegan this summer and that book now lives rent free in my mind. “Small Things Like These” is a feminist revision of Dickens “A Christmas Carol” set in the Magdalen laundries of 1980’s Ireland.

Small Things Like These | Powell's Books

While not specifically a holiday read, it is set on an island near Antarctica, so it’s definitely a chilly read. My book book club chose this for our December read. I read McConaghy’s “Once There Were Wolves” last spring and fell in love with her lyr...

Wild Dark Shore (Reese's Book Club Pick)|Hardcover

Cozy Fantasy

Winter is the best time to cozy up either a cozy fsntasy!

Does this have anything to do with the holidays or winter? No. Is it cozy? Yes? Do I have a signed, special edition arriving from the U.K. next week? Also yes. So am I putting it on my holiday TBR anyway? Duh.

Horror

Because even in the holiday season, the night is dark and full of terror!

I adored Brom’s witchy novel “Slewfoot,” I can’t wait for this backwoods tale of Christmas horror. An added bonus is Brom’s fantastic illustrations.
