New mommy must haves - baby edition!
Hey y'all! Here's a list of products for baby that I have found super helpful in my motherhood journey :) I also have a separate list for products geared toward the mother.
Necessities
This one is a bit higher end than the one I got but I'd rather have this one. A lot more settings & a lot more convenient.
What I have used since day 1 - keeps the smell under control, easy to use!
Diaper bags with lots of compartments are helpful for organization (otherwise you're constantly digging around for certain things) and this one comes with the portable "playpen"! Been really helpful for me.
These brands have impressed me most for my budget
Trust me... spare the bed sheets, floor, endless paper towel rolls. Just get the chucks.
We have used these since the start for both our clothes & baby's clothes. Helps a lot with skin rashes due to sensitive baby skin! Also great for my baby's eczema.
Dr Browns anti-colic bottles are great for avoiding gassy babies!
Bedside bassinet was AMAZING for safe sleep & still being next to baby - helps both baby and mom sleep better! Underneath storage is an added bonus :)
This stuff really helps my baby with her eczema and keeps it under control very well. She is much less itchy when we keep up with this 2x a day.
essential - get a multipack. Between spit up and hidden food, they will get messy and it's a great idea to have multiple on hand.
These brushes are amazing for bottles, it can be really hard to reach in there to clean it efficiently & we want to make sure baby is getting a CLEAN bottle. I highly recommend these.
Baby skin is SUPER sensitive. It's important to take care of the little ones, and it's easy to forget about/simply not think about.
We have been using these wipes from the getgo and never had any issues, I like that they're fragrance free and gentle on sensitive skin.
momcozy is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BREAST PUMP!!! It is a bit strenuous to clean by hand, but the parts go in the dishwasher with no issues. If pumping, I highly recommend this one!
diaper rash, chaffing, eczema… this stuff is liquid gold and helps SO MUCH. Aquaphor is also very versatile overall.
Handy, but not necessary!
These are things I personally enjoy and find helpful, but I wouldn't say they are necessary.
EXTREMELY HELPFUL especially since I had a c-section!!! Takes pressure off the lower tummy area and holds the weight of baby without being uncomfy. Also good for holding against your abdomen if coughing/sneezing/laughing after the c section... ask me...
Just too cute to snuggle with your lil baby Dino after a bath 🥹
I recommend sleep sacks that are long and short sleeve for variable temperatures.
Very nice to have the baby chew on the teeth we toy and not my face!
My girl loves her “Bwebwe”!!! Bluey is her absolute favorite show and she loves her little stuffies! This is moreso a comfort item, not a necessity :)
The hands-on learning toys have been the things my baby plays with most, plus they're great for developing fine motor skills and problem solving skills.
THIS!!! This product has been extremely helpful. I found out that it's much easier to smack a soft light to turn it on, rather than turn on the bright overhead light & wake everybody up. Trust me, you will be up multiple times a night for a while...
These are awesome for baby's development and attention (meaning mommy can have just a moment!)
Sanitizing bottles was terrible and I burned myself more than once boiling water and trying to put all the bottle pieces in… I recommend one of these. I never had one, but heard that they make a huge difference.
