This was gorgeous. There is a mile long loop trail to walk around the perimeter!

The coolest drive in the area IMO
There are some narrow sections where you drive THROUGH the rock. With little to no way to turn around, I wouldn’t go with anything larger than a SUV or Truck. Not RV friendly.
Needles Highway
You definitely have to go at least once in your life. But do yourself a favor, and go first thing in the AM before everyone and their mother show up.
Mount Rushmore National Memorial
Great for kids 7/8 and younger! A good spot within a fenced in area to let them stretch their legs and see their favorite characters from the books they love.
Storybook Island
Best steak in town IMO
Dakotah Steakhouse
Take a walk around the downtown district to find them all! There are basically 3 or 4 at each intersection within a mile loop. It was a fun little scavenger hunt for the family after dinner to kill some time.

A bit of a drive from RC, but this entire spearfish hwy is a beautiful drive with multiple points of interest.
