There’s so many different kinds of yarn out there and most of it is online. It’s hard to know if something will work for you or not, so this is a list of some of my favorite yarns and what I make as suggestions!

Bernat Blanket Ombres Yarn (300g/10.5oz)
One of the best speckles to make chickens and cats!
Bernat Blanket Speckle Yarn (300g/10.5oz)
I’ve used this yarn for mini amigurumi before and it looks super cute! I’ve used a couple color ways, but I think any would end up working well. This is also of course cute for baby hats, blankets, whatever you can think of!
Baby Bee Soft + Snuggly Yarn
I live a crochet life of variety, so I use everything from the tiniest crochet thread for earrings up to the chunkiest yarns for blankets. This thread has a big selection of colors so I can make all kinds of earrings, decor, and doilies!
Crochet Thread - Loops & Threads
Another great crochet thread and well trusted with many years of crafting. I love many of the shades this one offers! There’s even variegated options to spice up your next project.
