I started paddle boarding a few years ago and instantly fell in love with it. I even taught my dog how to come on the board with me, so it's a fun activity for us both. These are all of the Stand-up paddleboarding essentials that I use and love!

Protect your phone! Don't just bring your very expensive smartphone on your paddle board without one of these. And a pro-tip: Tie it to your board handle so that it won't fall to the bottom of the lake or ocean.

This is the pump that I have for my inflatable board. Seriously, do not buy an inflatable paddle board without an electric pump. Manually blowing up your board is exhausting and takes forever. These pumps are worth the money.

Having water sandals is a must. When you park your board at the side of the lake, and there's a lot of rocks around, you'll want something on your feet. I like these because they stay on, dry fast and are cuter than regular watershoes.

If you're like me and hate wearing a life jacket when you paddle, this is a good alternative. Safety is so important, so if you're a stronger swimmer but don't want to sacrifice safety, this is a great option.

I go paddle boarding a lot with my dog, so a life jacket is essential. It makes me feel better knowing he'll be safe, even though I know he can swim. The jacket has been great, it helps hold his head up and he doesn't mind wearing it at all.
