I spent 4 months living in Rome during Study Abroad at Penn State. It was one of the best times of my life, and holds some of my greatest memories. Even after traveling to so many places, Italy remains my favorite country.

Calling all history buff's! The Vatican is obviously one of the most popular attractions in Rome, and there's a reason. The Sistine Chapel is so breath-taking. And the Museum is so interesting you could spend a whole day in there.

Always buy the skip the line tickets for any of the attractions in Rome, it's worth the money. This tour is great because you can see the three in one package, but my favorite was the Forum!

I went to this winery with my parents while they were visiting me. We loved it so much we ended up sending almost a dozen wine bottles back to the US to have later. It was such a fun experience and the history of the town is so unique!

a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Villa de'Este is stunning. There are hundreds of fountains on the property that are thousands of years old and it is truly amazing. It's about an hour from Rome, but it's worth the visit.

We walked up to this Castle from downtown Naples, and it was quite the trek but the view was worth it! I definitely recommend hiring a taxi instead of walking, unless you want the exercise.

Take a day trip from Naples to Capri, the gorgeous Island just off the coast. Capri is stunning. Its a very picturesque town with a lot of shopping and great seafood restaurants.

A fun day activity to do if you're in Capri for a few hours. I did this tour, but unfortunately the water was too high to go into the grotto. It's a tight opening, so they only go in when it's low tide. It was still a stunning trip though!

I went to this archaeological site near Mt. Vesuvius with my class instead of Pompeii. It is better preserved and less crowded, than Pompeii but a bit smaller. It's also only about 20 minutes from Naples.
