Really cute story with a take on an Alexis from Schitt’s Creek type character ending up in the PNW. He fell first and fell hard. She took a minute to commit due to some self-doubt and other issues from her past.
It Happened One Summer|Paperback
This is Hannah and Fox’s story, they were mentioned in It Happened One Summer. Hannah is Piper’s sister and Fox is Brendan’s best friend. Lots of music talk. If you own a record player and love vinyl you’ll love some of the discussions in this book.
Hook, Line, and Sinker: Spicy Romantic Comedy
While I didn’t read it on a beach, Emily Henry wrote such great characters in Augustus and January. They really came alive on the page and their story was so good!
Beach Read
This was a comedy of errors with Wilder’s improv minded “just say yes” approach and Scottie’s non-existent husband problems. I laughed so many times reading this, it was definitely a feel good read.
Till Summer Do Us Part (Standard Edition)

The Paradise Problem - by Christina Lauren (Hardcover)
This story has all the tropes: destination wedding, forced proximity, forbidden romance, age gap. Really fast read, nice palate cleanser if you ready some heavier books sometimes.
Problematic Summer Romance - by ALI HAZELWOOD (Paperback)
Nora and Charlie have an unfortunate meeting at the beginning of the book that sets up their negative opinions of one another. Luckily, they just so happen to meet up in Sunshine Falls and get to spend some more time with each other. Romance ensues. ...
Book Lovers - by Emily Henry (Paperback)
Justin and Emma share a “curse.” Each person that they date ends up finding their true love right after they break up. They meet on a Reddit thread and decide to date one another in order to break the curse. They are one of my favorite book couples! ...
Just for the Summer - by Abby Jimenez (Paperback)
This was definitely different in the romance department since it all started with Alison showing up at her ex-boyfriend’s funeral to discover that he hadn’t told anyone that they’d broken up. She doesn’t want to upset the family even more around the ...
Four Weekends and a Funeral
One of my all time favorite romances, I reread it every year. This is Gillian and Brodick’s book (he’s mentioned in The Secret). Gillian is no wilting flower, she does a great job taking care of herself and others through the story. Amazing historica...
Ransom
From the world of Reylo fan fiction we got this hilarious book from Ali Hazelwood. It’s full of humor and romance. Tropes abound, there’s grumpy/sunshine, fake dating, slow burn romance. I loved how smart Olive was and how much Adam appreciated that ...
The Love Hypothesis
Opposites attract rom-com about a writer, Emma, who gets the chance to work with her idol, Charlie, a famous screenwriter. He doesn’t want to work with anyone, much less write this rom-com. He’s doing it in order to get another project green-lit. She...

Love at First: Uplifting Story of Love & Second Chances
My first Lynn Painter book was Accidentally Amy. It starts with a case of mistaken identity…Isabella takes a coffee meant for Amy and Blake thinks that’s her name. The whole mistaken identity part gets cleared up pretty quick. The rest mostly deals w...

Funny Story
The first Kat Singleton book I’ve read and it’s the start to a newer series. I believe the second book just came out and I’ll be buying it as well.
In Good Company|Paperback
One of the only books I’ve read from a TikTok review and haven’t regretted. Quick read with some of my favorite tropes. Small town, brother’s best friend, enemies to lovers. I loved Emmy and Luke.
Done and Dusted: A Rebel Blue Ranch Novel|Paperback
Very cute romance with a fun time travel element. Clementine and Iwan were a good couple, but had a unique problem…he was seven years in the past and didn’t know she was seven years in the future.
The Seven Year Slip
This was the first Elsie Silver book I ever read and it was a winner. Rhett is a rodeo guy who does what he wants, when he wants. This gets him into a little bit of trouble and he’s forced to work with a PR person. Enter Summer. She’s not worried abo...
Flawless (Chestnut Springs, 1)
Dark romance with a good amount of humor. Just imagining Josh trying to change his voice and skill around when he’s as large as he is cracked me up. Aly is a trauma nurse and smart. She gave as good as she got in this story and was a great female mai...
Lights Out (Into Darkness Series #1)|Paperback

I loved Hazel and Cam. Hazel panic buys a home that turns out to be a real fixer-upper. Cam is her contractor neighbor. Of course sparks fly between the two. Really cute story.
