There is something about the space that is so calming and inviting. Plus the coffee and matcha is excellent. It's one of my favorite cafes in Portland.

When I first started to consider moving to Portland, I stopped in at this cafe in the Concordia neighborhood at the advice of a friend. It has remained one of my favorite spots in town - the coffee is great, they have a good selection of baked goods,...

This is a superior version of Nutella made by this Portland chocolate company, Cloudforest. Sweetened with dates, it is sweet but not too sweet. The texture is divine. It's good on toast, but also worth just eating with a spoon out of the jar.

When I think of great sandwiches in Portland, Mama's Turkey at Fresh Love is high on the list. I think it's the Mama Lil's & Green olive mayo that sets it apart. Pro tip: Get it with avocado.

These salad rolls are some of the city's best and you find them in this true hole in a wall restaurant on NE 82nd Avenue. The chicken and nem (sausage) ones are my favorite, and the crunchy things inside add great textural contrast.

If I walk here from my house, it makes for a good workout. This place is great - it has a cool playground for the kids, lots of places to walk (flat and up elevated areas), plus amazing views of Mount Hood.

I have been here for events, walked around the street-level grounds, and truly my favorite area is the little ravine on the east side. It is a path that goes over a creek, it's peaceful, beautiful. Absolutely love it.

I really enjoy heading to Mt Tabor for a walk among the trees and natural spaces. It's a good reset for keeping the stress at bay. Amazing views, too.

This is Portland's biggest place for art and it's a joy to come here. They have a variety of artistic styles on display and soon there will be the Rothko Plaza, connecting the two building to each other on street level.
