This will help you lay out the strands of hair and stay organized while braiding

If you don't have another person to practice braiding on get a mannequin with the right hair texture
Mannequin Head
This set comes with a wrist band for gel, two rat tail combs for parting and clips
7 Pieces Hair Braiding Set
The pink set only comes with 4 so you will need more hair clips

Some people prefer using these instead of a rat tail comb to part their hair
