This hotel is a few blocks from the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh’s Museum. It was quiet. The streets felt safe to walk at night. Great breakfast included. Big, spacious room.
Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam Hotel
This was a nice stroll through a pretty neighborhood. I stood in line in the spring rain to have gf croissants. Worth it. I’ll go back to Amsterdam to have another almond croissant.
De Glutenvrije Bakker | Craft Coffee & Pastry
People go to Amsterdam for a various reasons. Number one should be Kuekenhof in spring. I thought I night be there an hour. Four hours passed and I was still tiptoeing through those tulips. The most amazing park. It was easy to purchase ticket...
Keukenhof
I may have eaten here three times. The steak with its delicious pan drippings. The French fries to dip. Superb. I ate at two different locations. Both were gorgeous.
Loetje Amsterdam Café
I dislike The Wizard of Oz, and it seemed kitschy and touristy to have a theme restaurant. My stars! Stunning inside. Food phenomenal. Near to my hotel and the museums. Make the reservation just to see the inside.
The Burger Room
This had the best seating near the canal. The food was warm and comforting for a chilly spring day. Sit by the canal.
Haven van Taxel -Cafe on the Canal
Buy tickets in advance, recommended about six weeks out. When you walk through the bookcase and enter the Annex, you will be moved. It became silent. To be there, where they lived is an experience.
Anne Frank House
I chose between this and the Van Gogh Museum. I may have chosen poorly. It is a beautiful museum. It is crowded. So crowded. Like crazy crowded. Maybe it would be less crowded at a different time? It was a week day.
Rijksmuseum
This was touristy, but in the best way possible. I rode a bus that made several stops, but this was my favorite.
