During my research to find an inflatable kayak for two for a short vacation, I opted for this 5 person raft instead. What I didn’t realize is this simple purchase would turn into an awesome project of building out our own personal small boat. It cost us around $800 for the materials to get started with the inflatable boat, all the way to the motor and some upgrades we chose. This list includes all of those things, plus the tools and things we used to build it that we already had at home.
