You used one of these in school, but this one is made for your workshop.
WEN | Protractor
The retractable ledge really takes this square up a “notch”.
KAPRO | 353 Try Square
Better than a normal ruler. Has marking guides and leveling vials. Also has a center point mark.
KAPRO | 313 Measure Mate Ruler
A ruler with attachments and accessories that make it more than a ruler, so it’s the ruler to rule them all.

You can get these anywhere, but this one comes with a lifetime warranty and is cheap.

Comes in multiple sizes. Box frame over i-beam when you make your purchase.
PITTSBURGH | Box Frame Level
If you bought the household tool kit I recommend then you should already have a small level, but if not then you can pick a cheap one up at Harbor Freight.
PITTSBURGH | Torpedo Level with Magnetic Strip
If you prefer a metal level then this level is shockproof, waterproof, and constructed of aircraft-quality aluminum for durability and long performance life. Laser-etched SAE and metric scales are included for convenient measuring.

Measure diameters and reproduce circles with this drafting compass.
