I have tried peppermint, herbs, reflective pinwheels, cinnamon, the list goes on! Nothing has kept squirrels out of my garden like an actual barrier could. It was a little project but in my book it's well worth it because trying to out garden all the critters who want to eat your crops before you can is just not realistic LOL. *** Also, I highly recommend shopping from this ready made list and just pulling up to your local Home Depot for pickup of the delivery rather than spending hours on a scavenger hunt around the store like I did haha
