I am a little cozy lady with a heart for crafting to the very core. These are the hooks, yarns, needles, threads, containers, etc. that I've gotten to start making things!

Everything I use to crochet
Crocheting has stolen my heart, and these supplies add to that fluttery feeling I get when I find a new pattern I want to try.
I didn't realize it was "luxurious," but it definitely feels so! I got this hook (the green one; I-9/5 mm) because the material on the handle makes for a great grip while crocheting, which could be so stressful to figure out when starting out. Most a...
Luxury Crochet Hook
I really love the slip of an aluminum hook, but one without a handle like *this* always slips through my fingers (I'm still figuring out my grip with one of those). I tend to work significantly quicker with these, and something about a handle just ma...
Bamboo Handle Crochet Hook
I don't know what's so special about this one, but it doesn't slip through my hand as much as the other sizes without a handle will. It's a "K-10 1/2/6.5 mm" hook.
Silvalume Crochet Hook
Do not be fooled, this hook is a different size from the previous blue one I listed; "L-11/8 mm" to be exact. Make sure you take note of the recommended hook size on the back of the yarn you're purchasing, as well as the crochet pattern you're follow...
Bamboo Handle Crochet Hook
I got them from Hobby Lobby because they cost more on Amazon for no reason that I can justify. You're going to want a darning/tapestry needle to weave/sew in loose ends for your yarn projects. I got the value pack because I'm forgetful; so when I for...
Steel Yarn Needles Value Pack
These stitch markers are .99¢ - that being said, they're not horrible for the price, especially if you're getting your feet wet. I use them on my crochet projects and they stay put even when I'm storing them for a bit. The flexibility they have makes...
Pink Jumbo Stitch Markers
Yarn that's easy to work with
Yarn: every crocheter's favorite addiction. Beginner's addition.
Acrylic yarn is so cheap, and so easily accessible. This brand carries so many colors, you should totally take a gander. Ombre is such an eye catcher.
Red Heart® Super Saver® 4 Medium Acrylic Yarn, Pumpkin 7oz/198g, 364 Yards
In my opinion, whites/brights (or literally anything but black) are easier colors to start crocheting with because you can see your stitches a lot better. Plus, I love the super savers because they come with so much yarn! Acrylic is a pretty cheap bu...
Red Heart® Super Saver® 4 Medium Acrylic Yarn, Soft White 7oz/198g, 364 Yards
Walmart has pleasantly surprised me over the past few years, and them having their own yarn absolutely does something to me. It's a bit cheaper than Red Heart, and it's slightly thinner, but I feel like it's *way* softer and that's a huge sensory thi...
Mainstays Medium Acrylic Yarn, Buff, 7 oz, 397 Yards
I let our toddler pick this color, and it's such a pretty shade of yellow. Honorable mention, as I'll be making some, if not all, of it into some booties quite soon.
Mainstays Medium Acrylic Yellow Yarn, 7 Oz 397 Yards
The name almost feels cliché, but I do love this yarn. It's so soft that I've used it for a baby/receiving blanket, baby beanie, and baby booties. It comes in so many colors, and they also have different ones (such as "I love this cotton," and it's c...
I Love This Yarn
Currently using this color for a cardigan that I'm probably going to frog if I can't decide what other colors I want to use with it so it's not just sitting in my storage chest. Also have used it for granny square practice!
I Love This Yarn
Currently using "pale yellow" and "magnolia way" to crochet a king sized waffle stitched blanket and it is *so* so soft. They're such huge skeins; if I wasn't doing a waffle stitch, I'd have some leftover.

Sewing necessities that just made sense
Everything I got to get back into hand sewing!
I've had this thing for a few years now, and it's been so useful! I originally got it to get back into sewing, and I've done small projects along with quick fixes. There are so many needles, *so* many spools of thread, pins, a tape measurer, a thimbl...
Basic Sewing Kit
A rotary cutter that is amazing for cutting fabric, and beautifully sharp. Thank goodness for the guard, because it's a *very* well made blade.
Fiskars 45mm Stick Rotary Cutter, White
Ideally, this is great for sewing projects (like quilting), but I've whipped it out to measure the occasional crochet project. It lays flat, has angle lines, and the acrylic design makes sitting it on top to measure seamless.
Fiskars 8.5in x 8.5in Square Sewing Ruler, Measuring Tool, Durable 3mm thick clear acrylic, Center 45-degree bias line
This cotton fabric is cheap and easy to get your hands on. I just adore the cow print, but there are so many other patterns available as well. I've used some to practice stitches by hand, and make a crinkle toy for our little one in the baby days.
Cow Print Fat Quarter
This is a pretty strong thread that sold me on it being "all-purpose." It's held to this claim, as I've used it for repairing holes, tears, and putting small projects together by hand. Ideally, it's great for a machine (so I was told!).
All Purpose Polyester Thread - 500 Yards
Naturally, I got a black one and a white one because I thought it'd be pretty universal.
It has been.
All Purpose Polyester Thread - 500 Yards
A multitude of beautiful colors in what I'd say is pretty good quality.
Double-Face Satin Ribbon - 7/8"
Storing bits, bobs, scraps & the like
What I use for storing my hooks, needles, WIPs, rulers, scrap yarn, threads and such.
I store my crochet hooks, darning/tapestry needles, scissors, and stitch markers in this adorable tin. They have smaller (cheaper) ones, but they wouldn't hold all of these for me, as that's what I prefer. They would hold hooks and needles, though.
Sunshine Gnome Storage Tin
This bad boy holds all of my crafty shenanigans. The amount of yarn, wips, finished projects, and tools that are in here never ceases to amaze me.
