We’re 5 years into having campers and have learned a couple things along the way. Packing for camp is daunting, especially the first couple years. From backpacks to sleeping gear, this list will get your Scout prepared for camp.

The preteen years can make gift giving a little more challenging. They are outgrowing all the little kid toys, and it can be hard to know what to buy them. Use this list as a guide to your gift giving needs, as it has been vetted by my own 11 and 12 year old sons!

Fall time is some of the most picturesque time to visit New Hampshire! There is no shortage of things to see and do in NH in the fall. If you are here the end of September, the water of the lakes may even still be warm enough to go for a swim.

The Lakes Region of NH is a busy place for NH visitors! Here are some of our favorite places to go. We are in the southern end of the Lakes Region so my recommendations will reflect that. With 5 kids in tow, we know what places are family friendly by now!

Halloween is such a fun time of year! I don’t love anything super scary but I do enjoy a cutesy ghost and orange and black decor. I’ve also included things we like to have while trick or treating 🎃 👻

My husband and I have 5 kids now 12 - newborn and having a big family means we do buy a lot of consumables like food and cleaning products. However, we don’t have a lot of storage space so we rarely buy in bulk. I’ve also included some of our favorite big family tools and gadgets that we use almost everyday.
