This year I'm on a mission to spend less time consuming and more time creating. These are some of my favorite crafting workshops I've taken here in Chicago so far. Met so many nice, creative people and went home with something I made!

Crafting Classes
Some of my favorite hands-on crafting workshops in Chicago with a range of different mediums.
Really laidback class where you can use their collection of magazines & books to create whatever you want. Perfect for literally any skill level.
Collage Club by Mixed Mediums
All you need to bring is whatever you want to embroider or they have tote bags available for $5. They provided everything else and even let us take beads home if we didn't finish so we could finish it at home!
Beaded Embroidery Workshop
You get to design and carve out your own stamp which was so fun. I actually ended up making one that I can use on my pottery projects.
Linocut Stamp Carving
I've always wanted to do mosaic and this was the perfect intro project! They provide everything you need and walk you through it step-by-step. You get to make a set of 2 coasters.
Mosaic Coaster Workshop
Another craft I've always wanted to try, but didn't want to buy all the stuff for before I knew if I liked it. They provide everything and have books of fun, cute patterns!
They also have a cross stitch bookmark class.
Cross Stitch Workshop
A really unique & interesting workshop! You get to make 2 bottles of perfume.
My favorite takeaway from this was actually learning what scent notes I like, so now I can shop for perfumes more confidently.
Intro to Perfume Workshop
Such a wide range of workshops here! They have workshops for stained glass jewelry, succulent terrariums, macrame plant hangers, and more!
BYOB Craft Workshops at Indigo & Violet Studio
Pottery Classes
My favorite handbuilding & wheelthrowing workshops in Chicago.
This is a handbuilding pottery class where they walk you through how to make a chip & dip bowl! It was so much fun and the instructors made it really easy. You can really create anything you want (I made a cherry bowl with a section for the pits ...
Custom Chip & Dip Plates Pottery Workshop
One of my favorite handbuilding classes I've done! There are just so many cute ideas. I've made a book end & a wall mounted candle holder.
Custom Book Ends Handbuilding Workshop
The perfect class for a group of people or if you're a true beginner to ceramics. You get to make & glaze the magnets in the same workshop and can make as many as you want.
