Delicious baked goods and breads made onsite. The BEST fresh cinnamon rolls.
Tall Grass Bakery
My mandatory weekend stop. Fresh bagels and homemade schmears. Our go-to order: plain bagel toasted with herb schmear and sesame bagel toasted with salted honey schmear.
Old Salt
For special occasions or simply a wonderful meal. Enjoy a fresh, specialized Italian menu in the comfort of a charming renovated home. My reccs: Sea Wolf baguette and Bolognese
San Fermo
Drink
From coffee to beer, Ballard has so many options for locally brewed refreshments.
Great coffee & scandinavian pastry assortment. Tucked in on a neighborhood corner with a lovely staff.
Venture Coffee Co
One of my favorite breweries in Ballard’s “Brewing District” - a neighborhood with 9+ breweries in walking distance. Great food options and lots of yummy craft brews. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating.
Reuben's Brews
Yummy cocktails, like this espresso martini. Love starting late evening here.
Percy's & Co. Seattle
A hidden gem. Dive bar in the front, pinball arcade in the back.
Great place to wind down and hang with friends. Pool, beers, & a pub menu.
Sloop Tavern
Activities
Cute pieces and home decor/accessories. Attached to a tiny wine bar next door. One of the many stores down Ballard Ave NW to window shop in on a stroll.
September
A historic site and a lovely picnic area. Walk across the locks, observe the fish ladder & lay in the rolling grass hills.
Ballard (Hiram M. Chittenden) Locks
Like the name infers, an incredible place to watch the sunset. Viewpoints of Golden Gardens from above and Discovery Park. Beautiful walk through neighborhoods.
