When I was pregnant I was told I needed *so much* stuff, but there was very little I actually did. These are the things I've needed - since the start and up 'til now, almost 3 years in to this journey

Stuff I actually ended up needing for the house - and drilling in to stuff wasn't really an option!
As long as you remember to charge this each night, this is a fantastic little bedside night light - especially as there's no cables
Rechargeable Battery Night Light for Kids
Kiddo has outgrown these ones, but I recommend these for drawers you can't fit internal locks on
Cupboard Locks for Children 12 Pack
We used these ones for the fridge, freezer, dishwasher and toybox - kiddo has outgrown them now but we taught them safety around these things.
Child Safety Strap Locks (4 Pack)
We used these on kitchen cupboards. Kiddo has figured them out but you can hide the magnets up high - there’s mounts in the box!
Magnetic Child Safety Locks for Cabinets
This one is great at night on doors we need to keep baby out of, but can't use a lock for - because the cat needs access
Door Buddy Child Proof Lock & Cat Stopper
Newborn
And beyond honestly
Anything you'd use sanitiser for, this is the alternative for tinies (because you can't use alcohol!) and it's become a go-to for everything. I swear by it
Vital Baby 500ml Aquaint Sanitising Water
I’ve only started phasing these out 3 years in. Unscented, practically water, and used for everything
WaterWipes Sensitive+ Newborn Baby Wipes 1080
Baby Frida have so many good products, but this nose/nails/everything picker is one of my faves.
Frida Baby 3-in-1 Nose, Nail & Ear Picker
A legitimately perfect product, lasted us until toilet training ended
Tommee Tippee Twist & Click Nappy Bin Set
Sterilising made so easy and fast! And you can carry them around so easily when you’re out and about. You can also upgrade the teats over time as baby ages!
Babyprice Mam Self Sterilising Anti-colic Bottle 260ml 3 Pack
Another magic product. This and a thermos with some tiny tubs of formula were the only way we got out of the house some days
Nuby RapidCool Baby Bottle Maker w/ Dispenser
Baby phase
We had to have 3 layers for baby swimming - this was the bottom layer! Even though we used pampers for everyday nappies, these worked fantastically for swimming
Huggies Little Swimmers, Swim Nappies
IT GROWS WITH THEM! I used both sizes before the little one got too old for it, and they're truly fantastic bits of kit
Splash About Baby Wrap Neoprene Wetsuit
This was my favourite thing. Ridiculously adjustable and lasted us all the way until bubba was out of nappies.
Alimos Swim Nappy & Waterproof Bag (Leaf)
A game changer for gas!
Frida Baby Windi Gas Passer, 10 Count
Toddler
Everything here I STARTED using as Tiny started walking, talking, and getting older
We have two of these - one for the bathroom, one for the kitchen! A fantastic little tool that gives the toddler autonomy
Non Slip Sturdy Double Step Stool for Kids
We have 2 - one for the house and one for out of the house. It got us away from a potty within a week of nappy-less success
Toddler Toilet Training Seat with Handles
A nice easy potty to deal with and keep clean - and toddler was emptying it themself!
Potty with Removable Bowl
A really easy way to explain to kiddo what’s going on. They also loved pressing the “YAY” button with us after a successful toilet trip.
Princess Polly's Potty: A Noisy Sound Book
Postpartum
Things that got me through
Birth trauma is common - this book is wonderful
BIRTH DEBRIEF
I lived in these for weeks
Postpartum Disposable Underwear
I filled these with bone broth the week before I gave birth - between these, frozen musubi, breast milk cookies (also pre-baked and frozen!) and pre-portioned lasagne, my postpartum meals were set up for ages
