What to say about this city? I guess is one of the Brazilian spots, as well as Amazon. I know Rio since 1979, a lot of time. In the last years, I stayed at Copacabana, but also the Downtown too.

This one is very nice. Cheap and good. The problem is that is difficult to make a reservation, due to high demand. Very well located in Copacabana Beach and an excellent infra-structure.

Hotel Sesc Copacabana

It is very well located in Copacabana Beach, a tourist region. Close to the beach, bars, and good public transport. I guess the rooms are small, but comfortable.

Hotel Atlântico Travel – O Hotel Atlantico Travel Copacabana é uma ótima ...

This one is located in Rio Downtown Region, more useful if you are going to the city for business.
It has a direct public transport connection with Santos Dumont Airport.
It is a cheap and simple place, honest prices.

Manaus, Amazonas (AM)

Manaus is the capital of Amazon State. I know Manaus since 2006.

This hotel is located close to 3 shopping centers and also it is not so far from Manaus downtown.
The hotel is cheap and simple, but good, Accor Ibis Budget standards.

São Paulo - SP

São Paulo is the biggest Brazilian city. I was born and lived there for 35 years. Today I usually go at least once a year, to meet friends. These are the hotels I usually stay there.

The great advantage of this place is that it is located on other side of Congonhas airport avenue, you just have to cross it, no way to loose you flight.
Hotel is nice, medium priced, very comfortable, good breakfast.
If you need to eat, there is an excellent restaurant/bar across the street (Boteco 737).

Ibis Jardins is located in Jardins neighborhood, one of the best of Sao Paulo, close to Paulista Avenue and downtown.
Accor Ibis budget standards, cheap and simple.
If you do not pay for the breakfast, there is an excellent bakery crossing the avenue in front of the hotel.

Fortaleza, Ceara (CE)

Fortaleza is the capital of Ceara State. I know Fortaleza since 1993.

This hotel is very well located, 1 square from the beach. It has an excellent restaurant, a gym academy, and a swimming pool.

Salvador, Bahia (BA)

Salvador is the capital of Bahia State. I know Salvador since 2006. In the last trips, I started to stay at Rio Vermelho Beach, which has a great nightlife.

This one is a very simple place, but cheap and comfortable. Very well located, close to Acaraje da Cira, which is a city famous tourist place. Very close to the nightlife too.

Natal, Rio Grande do Norte (RN)

Natal is the capital of Rio Grande do Norte state. I know Natal since year 1992. I usually stay at Ponta Negra.

This place is fantastic, although it is not that expensive. Good infra-structure, also has a swimming pool. Located at Ponta Negra Beach.

Mar de Ponta Negra - Natal

Very well located, the flat is small, but comfortable, they have a swimming pool and a seaside view to Ponta Negra beach.

Recife, Pernambuco (PE)

Recife is the capital of Pernambuco State. I know Recife since 1992. I usually stays at Praia da Boa Viagem. Here are some nice hotels in this region.

Loved this place, very comfortable, classy, and it has a very good restaurant inside. Very well located at Boa Viagem Beach.

Fity Hotel

I would say this one is a honest place if you want good price with comfort. It is very well located at Boa Viagem beach.
Rede Andrade usually has a similar standard in all hotels.
This one has a Smart Fit gym academy and a Habib's Restaurant very close.

Joao Pessoa, Paraiba (PB)

I know Joao Pessoa since year 1992 and I usually stay in Tambau or Cabo Branco beach.

Nice flat, close to the beach and nightlife. It is located inside a mall with stores, very useful.

Israel Flat Barumar

This one is also very located and it is cheap. If you spend too much time inside the hotel room, notice they are very small.
They also have a swimming pool with a seaside view to Tambau Beach.

Hotel Pousada dos Anjos - João Pessoa

Teresina, Piauí (PI)

Teresina is not a Brazilian tourist place, but it is a commercial center of its region. Be prepared for the high temperatures. Despite this, the city has a nice nightlife and good places to visit.

I stayed at this hotel in an "out of season Carnival" that happens October in Teresina.
It is located close to the rivers, very nice and comfortable.
It is also close to Fatima neighborhood, where the nightlife happens.

Palácio do Rio Hotel - Teresina

Ibis Teresina is located close to Teresina downtown.
It follows the same Accor standards.
As Teresina is not so big city, it has an easy access to other parts of the city.
